☁️ 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 (𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞) ☁️

{A/N: Hello again! Ofc in a book that I wrote, an alternate ending needs a warning lol, anyway, makeout scene and mild blood warning}

When he opened his eyes again, the great light then dimmed and he could tell that he was lying on a soft surface on his back.

Where am I? He wondered. Did the world end? Am I dead? Is this Heaven? Hell?

His vision finally adjusted to his dark surroundings and he saw that he was laying in a large bed, in a grand, lavish room. On the bed stand next to him was a small candle and he looked outside the nearby window to see that it was just after sunset.

"Kai? Big brother? Art thou awake?"

He looked to his left to see a familiar face looming over the bed, looking down at him.

"Sehun?"

The other boy raised an eyebrow. "Who is this 'Sehun' you speak of? I'm your younger half-brother, Leoh."

Leoh?! Shit, the black hole lead to here?? The name sent alarms ringing throughout Kai's head and he was instantly up and out of the bed.

"I just wanted to apologize once again for—"

"G-get away from me!!" Kai exclaimed, picking up a shoe, the nearest object to him that he could use as a weapon.

"Brother, please settle down," Leoh said gently, calmly walking up to him yet looking confused at the same time. "It is rude to make all of this noise at night and you wouldn't want to awaken Speranza, she's still recovering."

At this, Kai looked over at the bed and noticed the body of a young woman, whom he recognized as none other than Y/N— or, Speranza, resting peacefully on the bed next to where he was previously laying.

"'Recovering?' From what?" Kai asked.

"How could you forget? She's recovering from you biting her," Leoh responded.

"WHAT?!" Kai rushed to Speranza's bedside and slightly turned her head, and indeed, there were two red circles on her neck. He covered his mouth with a shaky hand as two words kept repeating through his head—

Not again... not again... not again...

"H-how could this happen...?" Is all he managed to say.

"Brother, are you alright?" Leoh asked, rushing to his side and pressing the back of his hand to his forehead and cheeks. "Do you still have a fever? Did you have a nightmare? Have you seriously forgotten the events of the past couple of days?"

"Is everything alright in here? We heard quite a ruckus."

Before Kai could answer Leoh's question, a woman's voice interrupted their conversation. He turned to the entrance of the bedroom, and to his utter terror, he saw that the vampire king and queen were coming in.

"AHH!!" Kai yelped and impulsively grabbed Speranza out of the bed, holding her close to him. "STAY BACK! I WON'T LET YOU HURT HER!!"

"Kai, please settle down!!" the queen exclaimed. "Goodness, what has gotten into you?!"

"Poor lad must be stressed about his wedding tomorrow. It was an unexpected change after all," the king remarked.

'Wedding'? They're playing with me. "You can't fool me! I know what really happened— the fight, the Black Pearl, everything!"

At this, the other three just stared at him in confusion, and Speranza began stirring in his arms.

"Y/N— Speranza, please tell me you know what I'm talking about," he says, looking down at her in his arms.
