And just like that, after a hazy weekend of glittering, colorful lights, blaring music, and jovial, boastful crowds fades into another mundane Monday morning. I walk through the hallway in a bit of a dazed state; dancing with her, kissing her, laughing with her, loving her, it was all a dream that had finally come true.

At last, I reach my locker and open it up to reveal a tupper ware container inside. I pick it up and see that there is a note on the lid that says, "you stole a pizza my heart~ Y/N" and some delicious looking slices of pizza inside.

Yum! She's so nice! I think to myself as I bite into one of the squares. The crust is perfectly crispy, and the cheese is gooey, and the sauce is just so—

Suddenly, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and scowl when I see who it is.

"Loey..." I snarl.

"Hi... l-long time no see," he says nervously, "...and it's Chanyeol."

"What are you doing here??"

"I'm new here."

"Yeah right, so you're telling me that this isn't part of some dirty trick that Sehun's trying to pull?"

"Sehun? 'Some trick'? What are you talking about?"

"Don't act dumb 'Chanyeol'. It's awfully suspicious that you showed up all of a sudden right after Y/N broke up with him and she became my girlfriend."

He looked at me incredulously. He's really trying to keep up this act huh? "Y/N?" he asks, "who's—"

"Yeolie?! Is that you?" We both turn when we hear Y/N's voice across the hall. She gasps happily and exclaims, "IT IS YOU!!"

She runs up and hugs him. "I've missed you so much," she murmurs.

"...C-ciao a tutti Y/N..." Heh, looks like someone got caught in their lie.

Then she notices me. "Oh, hey Jonginnie!"

"Hey babe~ Just wondering, how do you know this Chanyeol fellow right here?"

"He's an old friend of mine!" she says, and I can tell that Chanyeol internally face palmed.

"Oh, seriously?" I ask, pretending to be surprised.

"Yep! We were best friends back in Italy!"

"Oooh seriously?"

"Yeah!" then she hugs him even tighter. "I'm so happy to finally see you again, Yeolie."

"...Me too Y/N," and he hugs her back. Heh, his guilty liar face looks soo hilarious right now.

"Hey Jongin! Hey Y/N!" Baekhyun says, walking up with Lucas and Kyungsoo. "And who's this guy you're hugging up on Y/N? Hmm?"

They break apart from the hug. Finally. "Chanyeol's just an old friend Baek. He's new here!"

"He is?" Lucas pipes up. Then he shakes his hand. "I'm Lucas, and the two short ones are Kyungsoo and Baekhyun! And it looks like you've already met the happy couple, Y/N and Jongin!"

"What the hell do you mean 'shor—'"

"—Anyways, it's nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet yall too!" he replies. Oh how easily they're fooled by his 'nice new guy' facade.

"I just thought of an idea! How about we invite Chanyeol to hang out with us sometime? He's new, so he'll need some more friends," Y/N proposes.

Noooo nononono—

"That's a nice idea Y/N. How about tonight, everyone? If I remember, none of you are busy, right?" Kyungsoo asks.

—"Nope! I'm in!"—

—"My wrestling game got canceled, I'm free!"—

—"Detention, but it's only for an hour, so I'm good!"—

Dammit.

"And what about you, Nini?" Y/N asks me.

Hellllll no. "Of course! Sounds fun!"

"Looks like we have a plan then!" Y/N says. "Bye guys! See you tonight!"

"Bye!" they all respond. Then they disperse, leaving only me and Chanyeol.

"Kai—" he begins.

"I don't wanna hear any excuses," I retort, about to walk off.

"Please wait! Just trust me!"

"When you just lied to me? Yeah, sure."

"I only did that because you would've gotten mad if I told you that I knew her!"

"But you lying about it makes it more suspicious."

"I— yeah, I guess it does... but just hear me out okay?"

I just stare blankly back at him.

"I've changed, I don't want to repeat what happened back then. I'm so, so sorry about what I did, but I swear I wanna be different! I get it if you're still angry, but please, just trust me. I have no bad intentions this time."

I still stare back at him, completely silent.

"Please..." he pleads.

I let out an annoyed sigh. "Fine. Yes, I am still angry, but I'll give you one more chance. But just one! So, be wise."

Chanyeol's face breaks out into a bright smile. "Thank you so much Kai!" he squeals, hugging me.

I wriggle out of his grasp. "Ugh... yeah, yeah, whatever. And it's Jongin."

"Oh, right. Sorry... b-but I promise! I won't let you down!" and he cheerily scampers off.

You won't let me down? Yeah, we'll see about that.
