☁️ 𝐓𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲-𝐓𝐰𝐨 ☁️

"Hey Y/N! You're looking beautiful as always~" I purr as she sits in the seat next me. She's wearing a red tube top, some tight ripped jeans, and of course, her necklace. Simple, but she makes it look something from a fashion show.

"Grazie Nini, you too! And nice car by the way, very retro!" she gushes.

Eh, it's actually nothing much really, just an ancient red convertible that I've had since the fifties— a rust bucket. But, I guess Y/N is like a lot of the other human girls I've met; it's kinda cute actually, how their young, simple minds are easily impressed by 'retro' stuff.

I just chuckle and reply with a simple 'thanks' and we drive off into the sunset, the cool Autumn breeze blowing in our faces. I can't help but to stare at the way her curls dance in the wind and how the setting Sun casts a golden glow on her S/C skin.

Y/N glances at me and smiles. "I'm flattered Jonginnie, but you gotta keep your eyes on the road. You wouldn't wanna crash now would you?"

I blush and look back at the road ahead. "Whoops, hehe you're right. I need the car to be able to... maybe... take you out on a date on Friday~?"

"I'd love that~" she replies.

"Cool! I'll pick you up at seven."

We kept riding and riding and finally arrive at Kyungsoo's house, which is where we all agreed to hang out tonight and watch a movie. We walk in and are greeted by him and Baekhyun and Lucas... but no Chanyeol? Whew, thank G—

DING DONG!!

Then, the doorbell rings.

"PIZZAAAAA!!" Lucas shouts, sprinting from his spot on the large couch and throwing open the door to reveal Chanyeol standing there with the pizza boxes in his arms. Lucas grabs them and, after setting them down on the coffee table and grabbing a few slices from the box on top, hops back into his spot between Baekhyun and Kyungsoo.

Me and Y/N politely greet Chanyeol and walk to the couch and sit, me and Y/N and Chanyeol on opposite sides of the other three.

"Haha, looks like you're having pizza for breakfast and dinner Nini!" she laughs, handing me a hot slice.

"Not like I'm complaining though~" I jest, happily taking the slice.

"Alright folks," Baekhyun begins, standing up in front of us, "our movie options for tonight are: Shoot Out, Hellevator, Don't Wanna Cry, and lastly, Feel Special.

"How about we let Yeolie decide?" Y/N suggests.

"What? Why?" I ask, not meaning to sound as rude as I do.

Y/N looks up at me, and with a stern voice says, "because he's new so the polite thing to do would be to let him choose."

"Oh, yeah. Right."

"Ah, okay then. So Chanyeol, what'll it be?" Baekhyun asks.

Chanyeol looks at the different choices and finally decides. "Hellevator sounds like a pretty cool movie!"

"Hellevator it is!" Baek cheers, popping the VHS tape into the player. Then he presses play and the movie begins.

I've gotta admit, Chanyeol has some pretty nice taste in movies. We're about half an hour into it, and from what I can tell, it's about 8 kids who are trying to escape a time loop, and the only way to escape is through an elevator, and they have to work together to find it. I'm still watchful of him though, as me and him are the only ones who haven't fallen asleep yet— well, Lucas wakes up every once in a while to eat another slice of pizza— so I've been keeping an eye on him... just in case he tries something.

Suddenly, I feel Y/N begin to squirm in my arms— then she starts whimpering and I can feel her body trembling.

"Y-Y/N...?"

She then unexpectedly jolts awake, breathing heavily and looking around wildly. Her E/C eyes finally land on me, and I can see that they look glossy.

I hug her close to me, tightly. "It's okay babe, it was just a bad dream. Jongin's here."

"Th-thank you Nini Bear..." she whispers, and I can feel her body relax. "So, it's only us and Yeolie who are awake, right?"

"Yep."

"Mmm okay, good," then, making her voice even lower, "Jonginnie, I know you're shy around new people, but please be nice to Chanyeol. He is my friend you know."

"...I know, I know. Sorry Y/N..." I say, sulking. And she's right. After all, I am letting him have another chance, so what's the use if I'm always being rude to him?

"It's okay, Nini," she says, giving me a peck on my nose. We both turn our attention back to the film.

Out of nowhere, a phone rings. We both look over and see Chanyeol fishing his phone out of his pocket.

"Hey yall, I'm gonna take this call real quick, okay?" he says.

"Okay Yeolie!" Y/N responds.

He quickly goes up the stairs, probably to go into one of the bedrooms. 10 minutes pass and he still hasn't come back yet.

Maybe I should... no, no that's invading his privacy...

But, I just can't resist my curiosity. "Hey Y/N, I need to use the restroom. I'll be back."

Then I look down and notice that she's fallen back asleep. I gently lift her body off from mine and lay her on the couch. I tiptoe up the steps and hear Chanyeol's voice coming from the bedroom at the end of the hall. Getting closer, I can hear that he's arguing with someone.

"I don't care anymore Sehun, I want out of this plan!" he exclaims.

"Sehun" and "plan"? He is a liar... I knew it.

I can faintly hear Sehun's voice coming from the speaker.

"...swore to me! You swore.... steal... pure half..."

"I don't care! This is a new life, I want to live it how I want to! I want to be good this time!"

"...traitor..."

"And? What are you gonna do about it?"

"...find and kidnap those other freaks... do this one task... let you all live..."

"Fine! Okay? I'll get the other half of the Pearl, but until then, just leave me the hell alone!" he spat, then hung up the call.

So this is all apart of a sneaky scheme huh? I knew it, I think to myself, taking a step back to go back downstairs... but then I hear him chuckle...?

"He's a fool to think that I'd waste my time chasing after that damn Pearl again... I want to be free this time and be a better person," he whispers to himself.

I stand there stunned. It looks like I was wrong about him; Chanyeol really does want to change...

I need to get my head out of the past.

What is this "past" that Jongin's talking about? And will Chanyeol be able to prevent Sehun from getting mad at him for not getting the other half of the Pearl?
