"So, how was your weekend with little Y/N?" Lucas asks.

"Ahh, it was wonderful~" Jongin says wistfully, putting all of his things in his bookbag. "And we're gonna hang out after school again today!"

"That's great! I'm glad y'all had a great time!" Chanyeol responds.

The four boys then stand there awkwardly as they watch their friend pack up all of his things for the day, the same question on all of their minds.

Kyungsoo is the one who asks it. "...How does she feel about you being... uh, you know..."

Jongin finally finishes putting everything in his bag and turns around to face him. With a blissful smile on his face, he says, "it doesn't matter to her."

"Pffft. Yeah right, in your dreams."

The group of five turn to see Sehun and those three other football players who cornered Y/N at lunch that one day standing behind them.

"And what the hell do you want?" Baekhyun snaps.

"Pipe down pipsqueak," Sehun retorts back. Then, turning his attention to Jongin, "I want my Y/N back. It's all your fault that I lost her."

Baekhyun, sensing the aggression in the atmosphere, stands in the space between Jongin and Sehun. "Well she isn't yours! Never was, never will be! You only have yourself to blame for losing her!"

Sehun nudges the shorter boy out of his way and walks close up to Jongin, their faces only inches apart. Unbeknownst to all of the boys, students begin to circle around them, eager to see what was happening.

"He's right, the one and only reason Y/N left you was because you showed your real colors. You don't deserve her," Jongin says, refusing to let his gaze falter.

"Oh the lies you tell yourself. Let's face it, the only reason why she's with you is out of pity," Sehun replies with the same amount, if not more, ferocity.

"You wish. Y/N truly loves me, and I love her. Plus we're mates, pity has nothing to do with this."

"Does it not though? Why else would such a beautiful, stunning girl fall for the sad, pathetic little halfbreed loner."

This time, Sehun's "haflbreed" comment only slightly fazes him, but he was able to bounce back. "I'm pathetic?! Oh please."

"Yes, you are. You put on this innocent shy guy front knowing that you've done despicable things in the past. You're just as rotten as me~" Sehun says with a smirk.

"First off, I'm nothing like you. As I've said before, I work to be better than that man I was a long time ago, so I don't need a front. You're the one who's pathetic, constantly switching between two different things, the cold, mysterious jock and the 'sweet' school heartthrob. And also... again with this 'halfbreed' B.S.? You being disrespectful to someone just because they're different from you really reveals who you are as a person."

Jongin's comment earns a simultaneous "oooh" from the other students and speechlessness from Sehun.

"Oh what's wrong? Is your bark bigger than your bite~?" Proud that he'd seemingly won at last, Jongin starts to walk off with his friends.

Come on Sehun, you aren't going to let that mutt defeat you, are you? Ah, that's it!

"You're one to talk about 'switching between two things'," Sehun calls after him.

"Ha, classic. Again with those same 'jokes'. Well you can stop because they don't bother me anymore." Jongin knew that he probably should have just kept walking away, but for some reason, he felt that he needed to show Sehun that these comments didn't bother him— of course they still did, but he just wanted to act as if they didn't in an effort to make him stop.
