{A/N: There's a sword fight scene that may be a bit too gory to some. If you are sensitive to blood and things like that, this is your warning.}
I just have to make it through my vows, the kiss, and the wedding will be finished. At least it's morning time, so my symptoms are not too strong—
"Kai, are you alright? Your vows please?"
"Huh?" he finally realized that his soon to be wife had just finished her vows, and she, along with the other guests, was staring at him in anticipation.
"Ah, right. Ahem," preparing himself, he tightened his grip around Speranza's hands and stared her straight in her eyes.
"My dearest Speranza, I have known you since you were young and have grown to love you for the beautiful, wise woman you are. I vow to be loyal and to always love you. So that you won't falter anymore, so that no one can take you away, so that no one will be able to hurt you, I will protect you from beside you—"
CRASH!!!
At the loud sound of glass shattering, everyone in the room turns to see that one of the grand mosaic windows had been broken— and the cause was none other than Leoh, standing there in the pile of colorful shards of glass with the dark half of the Black Pearl in hand.
"EVERYONE GET OUT OF THE CHAPLE NOW!" Kai shouted to the guests. He then grabbed the pure half off the alter and shoved it into Speranza's hands. "Take this with you and hide somewhere."
"But I need to help y—"
"Just go! I can handle it from here!"
The princess successfully blended in with the other guests, and instead of running out the door, she hid behind a pew. Seeing that she had escaped— or so he thought— he turned back to Leoh.
"Breaking into a wedding? Heh, how low of you."
"I have no time for talking," Leoh snarled, unsheathing his sword, "I'm here to take back my woman."
Kai unsheathed his own sword, his eyes turning red and his fangs growing. "The only way you'll lay a finger on my woman is if you get through me first!"
"EN GARDE!!"
The two men fought fiercely against each other, the curtains and other decorations getting slashed up in the midst their battle. Peeking over the pew, Speranza looked on at them in horror, flinching each time their blades collided. The outcome of the fight was bleak; both men clearly possessed much strength and advanced sword fighting skills, so she was unsure if Kai would be able to beat him.
"Arrgh, this is taking too long!" Leoh growled. He hopped into the rows of pews and jumped from one to another in a desperate attempt to slow Kai down, but this proved to be futile, as he followed him close behind by doing the same and even using his teleportation powers, something that only those who are half-vampire possess.
That mutt should be tired by now, should he not?? Oh wait, that's right... the Eclipse... his vampire powers are stronger. This calls for desperate measures, Leoh thought to himself.
When Leoh hopped to the next pew in the row— which, unbeknownst to him was the exact one that Speranza had been hiding behind— and took out the dark half of the Black Pearl. He tossed his sword onto the floor behind him and held the gem out in front of him.
If I cannot beat him, I will just get him to join me.
"Stop."
Kai faltered for only a second, but then regained himself, ready to jump onto the pew that Leoh was on.
"I said, stop!"
And he did. He stood completely still on his pew, staring back at Leoh with vacant eyes. Speranza peeked up at them, eyes jerking nervously back and forth between the two of them.
He is trying to mind control him with the Black Pearl?! Oh no, what do I do?? That was when she peered down and noticed Leoh's sword on the floor next to her.
"You are now my servant. You shall do everything that I ask. My first order for you is to find Speranza and—"
"AAAHHHHHHHH!!"
Leoh was cut off by Kai's terrified screaming. He was staring at him wide-eyed, both of his hands covering his mouth. Confused, he followed Kai's eyes down to his abdomen and the sight made him just as horrified— his silver sword covered in his own dark red, almost black blood, skewered through. Leoh looked behind him and saw that Speranza had stabbed him through his back. She looked as though she could not believe what she had just done, that she was in as much disbelief as him. The adrenaline from the fight had worn off and he now fully understand what was going on, the dull pain also settling in. Lightheaded from the silver and the gory scene before him, Leoh fainted, dropping the Pearl and falling into the seat of the pew. As if on cue, four guards bursted through the doors.
"Good, you finally made it." Kai said. "We will keep the dark half of the Pearl. Take him to the execution chamber, we will meet you there."
All four guards nodded in unison and dragged Leoh's limp body out of the room.
"Now, where were we? Ah, yes."
Kai then turned to Speranza lightly kissed her hand. He then wraps his ice-cold hands around her waist.
"May I have this dance, m'lady?"
