{Y/N POV}

6:45, he'll be here soon.

I had just finished applying a nice layer of mascara when I take a look at the clock on my dresser. My eyes move a bit further down and see the book underneath it. I haven't read it since... I can't even remember... it was that day that I saw Lucas again, right? Huh, I guess I've been pretty busy since then.

I open the book and continue from where I think I left off.

After those 100 years of warring, a child was born to the human king and queen. The child was a beautiful girl whose name was Speranza—

Hold on... what was her name?!

I read that sentence over and over again, and sure enough, my eyes aren't playing tricks on me. There's that name, Speranza. Now I know for sure that these have to be more than just dreams— I'm only just now reading this name. But how does Jongin know this? Maybe he read this book before?

In a search for clues, I find myself flipping through the book and some writing on the inside of the front cover catches my eye. It's smudged, but I can still make out what it says

"Recount of past conflict between
the humans and vampires. Probable
reason why so many problems exist
between the two peoples today."
— Tao

"Tao"...? Who's that?

I just shake the thought off and continue reading. So now that I know for sure that what happened in this book is real, I have to learn more!

—and to settle the war, her parents and the Vampire monarchs agreed for her to be wed off to Prince Leoh when she became of age. Little did the human king and queen know that the planned day of the wedding fell on that of the Scarlet Eclipse, which comes every century. It is the day when the moon completely blocks the Sun, making it turn a marvelous red color—

The marriage, the Scarlet Eclipse; yet even more things from my dreams... I feel like I should talk to him about this.

The sudden vibration of my phone brings me out of my thoughts.

[🐻 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿 🐻]: 𝗛𝗲𝘆, 𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲... 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱?

I look at the corner of the screen, 7:10. Damn, I totally lost track of time.

As fast I can with my crutches and high heel on my right foot, I briskly hobble down the steps. I open the door and Jongin's standing there smiling widely at me— and wearing a tshirt and ripped jeans? Huh, pretty casual for a date at a restaurant.

"Whew, you're looking fancy!" he whistles.

"Well of course I would for a fancy dinner date~"

His smile slightly falters and he nervously scratches his neck. "It's actually my favorite burger joint, not a fancy restaurant... those are too expensive..."

I realize what he's saying and can't help but to feel a bit ashamed of myself. "Ohhhh. Well it's fine, I understand! I'm just gonna go change right quick okay?"
