Sehun leads Y/N to his shiny black automobile parked near a small tree in the school parking lot. Like a good gentleman, he opens her door, then walks around the car and opens his own. When he hops in, he can't stop himself from staring at the ravishing girl whom he can finally call his.
I wish this night could last forever.
"How's about we take this elsewhere?" he asks. "I know of a lovely restaurant near here."
"Are you sure? It's getting late, what will your parents say?" Although Y/N also wanted to be with him, she still wanted to be considerate. Plus, she told her mother about only going to the play... maybe she'll understand?
[𝗠𝗲 💃]: 𝗛𝗲𝘆 𝗲𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮, 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗳 𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿?
Sehun glances at the digital clock on the dashboard. "8:03. Eh, the night's still young, and my parents won't mind at all," which is actually a lie. Because his family has always been the most powerful vampire bloodline in Doradovania, Sehun is his parents' "trophy child". He was always trapped at home, so it was nights like this, when his parents went out to some extravagant party dressed head to toe in gaudy jewelry and lavish clothing, when he could finally escape; with the only exception being football.
DING!!
Y/N's phone chimes and she looks at the message:
[🖤엄마🖤]: 𝗢𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲! 𝗕𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲!
"Heh, of course you vamps would consider this time to still be early. But anyways, let's go!" Y/N says enthusiastically.
Sehun was right when he said that the restaurant was close. They drove only a few miles down the road from the school and up a large hill to a luxurious looking building. It had grand statues, stained glass windows that were light blue, and lovely white lillies growing all around it. The large fluorescent letters on it read "Moonlight". When Y/N and Sehun walk into the restaurant they are met with a rich, savory scent and gentle piano music. There are only a few other people inside, creating the perfect mood.
"Hello sir! Table for two please?" Sehun asks politely as he approaches the host.
The host, having glasses and curly black hair peers up at them, and after having a closer look, scowls.
"Right this way," he responds dryly.
He leads them to a table outside that has a wonderful view of the night sky and overlooks the town below. They take their seats and the host tosses the menus down on the table, and before either of them can even open them up:
"So is this," he gestures at the two of them, "a joke?"
"Excuse you?" Sehun says.
"You're a vampire, and that thing is a human... how do you not see the problem here?" he asks.
"There is no problem," Sehun counters sternly.
Y/N just sits there speechless as the two go back and forth. These situations always made her both shocked and angry, as she had seen her own parents be treated the same way when she was young. But she would always be so overwhelmed that she would never even know what to say.
The host gets close to Y/N's face. "So do you really love him? Do you? Ha! No you don't! We know how your kind feels about us! Go ahead, say how fearful you are of his scary fangs or his scary red eyes! Go ahead, do it!"
"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Sehun shouts.
Y/N still sits there, gripping her chair so tight that her knuckles turn white and refusing to make eye contact with the man. She prays and prays for something to end this whole mess, when at last:
"Minseok, is there a problem here?" a man says, approaching.
The host, "Minseok", stiffens up. "Um, no Jongdae! Not at all!"
"Jongdae" rolls his eyes. "Just leave, or else you'll be fired."
Minseok sprints back inside the building, leaving just Sehun, Y/N, and Jongdae. He then turns to the couple, notepad and pen ready.
"I deeply apologize for his foolishness, my wife and I have also been in similar situations," he says, showing his wedding ring. "Anywho, what would you two like?"
"My usual," Sehun answers first. "Grilled steak, extra rare."
"Alright," Jongdae says, scribbling in his notepad, "and for the lovely lady?"
"Umm..." Y/N flips open her menu, and orders the first thing that catches her eye. "Minestrone soup with ciabatta bread please."
"Coming right up!" Jongdae chirps, and walks back into the restaurant.
Sehun sighs. "I'm so sorry Y/N."
"Don't worry Sehunnie," Y/N assures. "Thanks for sticking up for me."
He picks up her hand and plants a kiss on it. "Anything for my princess~"
After a short time their dishes finally arrive. They sit there eating while talking jovially to each other and observing the dazzling lights of Bloomingville below. Suddenly, Sehun feels his cell phone vibrate in his pocket.
"Hello?"
His mother's voice comes in shrill and shaky through the speaker. "SEHUN! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
Shit. "I-I'll be home home soon mother! I was just— uh, just at a game!" And then when he hangs up his phone, "Y/N, we need to leave!"
"Hmm? Why?" she asks.
He gets up out of his seat and leaves the money for the meal on the table. "It's a— um, a family emergency!"
"Oh no!" She hops up out of her seat and they run into his car. He speeds off the restaurant parking lot and drives haphazardly down the road. They finally reach Y/N's house, and he quickly walks her to her door.
"I had an amazing night tonight Sehunnie, thank you. Oh, and I hope all goes with your fam—"
But when she turned around, he was already in his car, speeding off down the street.
