"Please Tao, I'll do anything!! I am at your mercy!! Please just reverse time so I can fix this!!"

"Ah, so now you know how it feels for your life to be in danger. The only difference now is that you actually deserve it."

"I'm sorry about what my family tried to do to you all, but— oh! If you reverse time, I can prevent all of that from happening!"

"Pfft, all of you bloodsuckers really are just the same, using and hurting others for your own gain. Most of that happened when you were just a child anyhow; there's no way that you can prevent it."

Leoh dropped his head into his shaking hands and continued to weep, the heavy weight of his fate settling in and crushing him.

Tao just stood in the doorway of the cell staring at him with a sinister smile on his face. How could he feel pity for the son of the people who tried to harm and exploit his dear brothers for their abilities all in the name of making themselves more powerful? In Tao's eyes, this was simply poetic justice.

"At least... tell me if..." Leoh spoke through his sobs. "...if one day... everything will turn out... how it is supposed to be..."

"How it's supposed to be?" Tao repeated.

"ARE YOU DEAF— ah, I mean, yes... how it's supposed to be."

Tao closed his eyes and saw into the future. Ah yes, there's the two of them, reincarnated. The girl and the boy happily in love with each other.

"Yes," Tao finally said. "In another life, everything will turn out how it's supposed to."

Leoh heaves a shaky sigh of relief and leans back against the cold, stone wall. "Good. So I will finally get my revenge on that dog and have Speranza for myself~"

Suddenly, Luhan, one of the other guards who carried Leoh out of the chapel, bursted through the door.

"It's time," he spoke.

Leoh's dread returned when Tao and Luhan roughly pulled him from the wooden chair and through the castle's dark halls. When they finally reached the execution room, he practically had to be carried to the large metal chair from how faint with fear he was. With each limb of his that was strapped down, his heart beat faster and faster.

"Here you go," Ten, one of the two guards who was already in the room, said when he handed Kai the Black Pearl. It was now whole, with one half speckled white and the other speckled with purple. "Now remember, only one wish can be made per century, so after you kill him, choose your words carefully."

"I know, thank you," Kai responded. With that, Ten, Tao, Luhan, the other guard, Taemin, and the king and queen walked out of the room; Leoh, Kai, and Speranza were the only ones left.

"This is all your fault!!" Leoh growled, thrashing against the straps. "You have been a nuisance ever since you were born!!"

Kai retorted back, "ha, how typical, blaming others for your own wrongdoings. Well dear b—"

"DO NOT CALL ME THAT!!"

Kai just smirked. "brother~ your time is up. Thou hath reaped what you've sown, and now, you get no more chances."

It was Leoh's turn to smirk. "If you say so~"

"Smiling are we? You seem to have finally accepted your fate." Kai pointed the Pearl at Leoh, and it began to glow. "Good riddance!" And with that, a great bolt of purple lightning shot out from the gem and hit Leoh, producing a white light so bright that Speranza and Kai had to shield their eyes. When they uncovered them, they saw that Leoh was gone for good, the only remnant of him being his luxurious clothing.

"Now that that has been handled," Speranza said, "it's time for you to do the honors. Remember, choose your words carefully."

"Right," Kai said. He cradled the Pearl with both hands and closed his eyes. "I wish for there..."

Suddenly, Tao bursted through the door. "KAI, NO!! WAIT—!"

But he couldn't stop him in time. "...to never again be any warring between the humans and vampires."

The king and queen could be heard outside conferring with, presumably, a general. "Order a ceasefire immediately. We surrender."

"What is the matter, Tao?" Speranza asked. "Our people will stop all of their senseless fighting. That's good, is it not?"

"I told you to be very careful with your words, Kai... the warring stopped, but everyone still hates each other."

Speranza and Kai looked at each other with worried expressions, the realization hitting them.

"Oh..."

"Do not worry my love, at least we have some peace with all of that fighting gone!" she said reassuringly. She then turned to Tao, "r-right...?"

"Yes princess, there certainly will be some peace... for now~"
