{3rd Person POV}

"Hey, what's with the long face, dollface?" Jongin asks Y/N when she sits in her seat. He noticed that she had been looking quite sad today at lunch and by the looks of it, her mood had not improved.

"I really wanted to go on the school sports team retreat this weekend. Apparently it's like 'reward' for working hard in The War, but eomma won't let me," she sighs.

"Huh? Why not?"

"Sehun."

"Oh, right."

"Uggh this sucks! I was really looking forward to it..." she murmurs, glumly laying her head down on her desk.

Jongin just sits there speechless, staring at his beloved girlfriend and wondering what he could possibly do to make her feel better. Then, he finally came up with something. It made him nervous, but still:

"Hey, forget the dumb retreat, okay? How about you spend the weekend at my house?" Jongin proposes.

Y/N's face instantly lights up. "Are you serious?!"

"Of course Y/N!" he replies.

"Aww thank you Jonginnie! I'd love to!" she squeals, hugging him tightly.

"Yay! I can't wait!" he says, returning the hug.

Although Jongin definitely was excited to spend the weekend with her, he was also very nervous. What had he just gotten himself into?! How would she react to him being half vampire? Of course he knew that he would have to tell her eventually, but that didn't mean that he felt any less scared.

As soon as school ended, Jongin and Y/N drove to her house and he helped her pack everything she would need for their mini weekend getaway. After waving her mom goodbye, they set off. They drove just past Kyungsoo's house when they went into a forest. Then, they pull up to a house in the center of a large clearing. It's a large cobblestone house that overlooks a glimmering pond just beyond it. Although it was clearly very old, it still gave off a very loving, homely vibe.

"Welcome home~! So, how do you like it?" Jongin asks Y/N.

"I love it! It looks really cozy!" Y/N responds cheerily.

With their belongings in hand, they trek up the walkway. With each step, Jongin becomes more and more nervous. Scenario after scenario of Y/N's horrified reaction to what he really is plays in his head. At last, they reach the front door, and with a shaky hand, Jongin opens it.

"Mom! Dad! It's me and Y/N!" Jongin calls out.

A woman with wavy, jet black hair and tan skin comes from around the corner and greets them with a smile. She walks up to her son and hugs him tightly, then she turns to Y/N.

"So you're the lovely girl that Jongin so in love with huh? Well, it's finally nice to meet you Y/N!" she says, giving Y/N a hug as well.

So this is where he gets his bear hugs from, Y/N thinks warmly to herself as she returns the embrace. "It's nice to meet you too Mrs. Kim!"

"Junmyeon! Come and meet Y/N!" she calls, letting go of the girl.

Hearing the name makes Y/N do a double take. Wait... 'Junmyeon'?

Then, he pokes his familiar face from around the corner. With a mischievous grin, he says "I've already met Y/N."

She is absolutely astonished. "M-Mr. Kim...?! A-and Jongin? You're his...?"
