PUNCHING RICKY Bowen in his face sounded so nice in Shiloh's head.
He completely skipped out on stopped by the club room to help her carry the very heavy crate to the bomb shelter that afternoon.
She struggled to put the crate on the chair with wheels and once she did she let out a hefty sigh.
Work smarter not harder.
She pushed the chair down the hall and was instantly met with an out of breath Ricky Bowen.
"Before you say anything, let me catch my breath."
Ricky let out a long breath and stood straight up, "Okay, look, it didn't slip my mind that I said I would help you. I just got distracted."
"Save your sob story and push the chair."
"Got it."
She stuck her arm out and he only stared at it.
"Your backpack. I'll carry it to the bomb shelter."
Ricky gave her a soft smile and slipped the bag off of his back onto her arm.
"Feels like nothing is in here."
"'Cause there isn't a lot in there."
Shiloh let out a small laugh and the two of them ventured down the empty hallway.
But it couldn't have been that empty as the two of them had caught view of Dylan Lapids standing at the end of it.
Shiloh kept her head down and cut off conversation with Ricky entirely in hopes of avoiding any type of eye contact or conversation with the red-headed teen.
"Shiloh?" Ricky whispered.
"Just keep your head down and walk."
Ricky moved his eyes away from her and onto the boy nearing closer and closer as they neared their turn.
He did as instructed, but Shiloh's plan ultimately failed her as Dylan called her name out as the two of them passed him.
"Hey, can we talk?" He asked.
Shiloh winced, pushing her glasses up, "I'm actually very busy at that moment, so no, we cannot."
As she tried to make her escape, she was yet again pulled into another question.
"Who's this?"
Shiloh rolled her eyes and faced him again, "Ricky. Dylan. Blah, blah, blah. Look, we've gotta go now."
"New boyfriend?"
Dylan was definitely the jealous type. He never liked Shiloh having guys friends around, he barely liked Shiloh and Evie hanging out. He was clingy and she hated it. He was overbearing and she hated it.
