Ilvermorny: Sorting

August 17th rolled around and Aaron made sure everyone got up on time in his house. 

Bella went to her closet and put on the outfit she had decided on the night before. A navy blue pleated skirt that matched the school blazer perfectly and an emerald green button down shirt. White stockings that went over her knees and black dress shoes. Her necklace altered itself to fit right in with the outfit. A house elf named Petite came in and did her hair into a braid that she laid over her shoulder. Petite loved doing her hair. 

She heads down to the kitchen. Jack sits at the island eating eggs and sausage, his dad is at the stove cooking some more eggs. "Hey, Jack," she ruffles his hair. "Good morning, Aaron." He gives her a smirk.

"If I get called away, either Wil or Jess will pick Jack up. Depending on where we go and how long it takes us, Jack will be staying at their place." Aaron says, passing her a plate of food.  She nods and sits down to eat. 

Jack hugs her goodbye when he finishes eating and Aaron waves bye to her before both of them leave the house. She sighs, grabs her school bag and heads for the floo. 

She grabs the floo powder and steps in. "Ilvermorny." She throws the powder down. She stumbles out the other side. "Great still can't quite land on my feet."

"Miss. Le Faye, perfect you're the last transfer student." A man greets her. "I'm Principal Algibert Fontaine.  Come along all of you, I'd like to get all of you into your houses before the first years get here." He leads the way to where four statues surround a knot of wood. "Okay, Miss. Le Faye, up you go." He holds out his hand and helps her up onto the knot. 

She takes a deep breath and then watches as three of the statues move forward, showing that she could go into one of their houses. The first statue is for Thunderbird, the house of adventures and the soul. The next statue represents the Horned Serpent house. This house is for the mind or scholars. The last statue is for the house of heart, for healers. The Pukwudgies house. 

"Since three statues came forward, Miss. Le Faye, you may pick from them which house you would like to be in." The principal says. 

She taps her chin as she thinks she is smart according to the Goblins, but she is not too sure if she could keep herself from telling them who she really is if they keep asking her questions. Although she loves to explore new places, such as Hogwarts, she would not classify herself as an explorer. However, she really took an interest in magical healing during her two weeks in Gringotts’ medical ward.

“I’d like to be a Pukwudgie, sir.” Bella says, still on the knot. 

“Very well,” he says, before reaching out to help her down. “Mr. Magi-Pythonissam, you’re next.” A brown haired boy with one blue eye and one brown eye steps up onto the knot. Two statues come forward for him. The Pukwudgies house and the Wampus house, the house of warriors. He doesn’t hesitate and immediately selects the warrior house. “Miss. Spellcast, now you.” A blonde with bright blue eyes walks up to the knot and a boy with blond hair and blue eyes helps her onto it. All statues come forward for her: Pukwudgies, Wampus, Horned Serpent, and Thunderbird. She taps her chin for a moment then chooses to go to the Pukwudgies house. “Mr. Spellcast.” The blond haired blue eyed boy from before gets onto the knot. The Wampus, the Horned Serpent, and the Thunderbird come forward. He chooses the Thunderbird. “Last before the first years, Mr. Zabini.” The Horned Serpent statue is the only one to come forward and he nods, getting off the knot.

Bella runs over to him and kisses him on the lips. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” He smiles down at her.

“I wanted to surprise you,” he says, wrapping an arm around her waist as she moves to stand next to him.

They leave the area so the first years can be sorted. The three unknowns walk over to them. "Hi, I'm Skylark Spellcast. This is my brother, Thomas." She indicates to the boy that looks like her. "Yes, we are twins, we got everything from our dad except the hair color. And this is Norville Magi-Pythonissam." The brown haired boy from earlier waves with one hand wrapped around Skylark's waist.
