Sarah, Charlotte, and Bella gather their things and head for the entrance hall at somewhat of a leasurely pace, not wanting to be crushed by the crowd of students in a rush to eat. "Well, Mrs. Thelma is a wonderful source of information," Charlotte says.

"Yes, not to mention that she can answer questions from experience on both sides of the situation," Bella says, as Blaise their group.

"Sky, Norville, and Thomas are already in the usual spot," he says as he wraps an arm around Bella. "I saw them on my way down."

"Great," Sarah says, as they find an opening in the crowd to get up to 9ne of the boards. "Oh, this is the Female Dorm board."

"Great find my name." Bella says. They all start looking for Bella's name on the board. She finds it first and pulls out her wand to order.

Her tray appears and she and her group make their way down to the next board as it is better than trying to fight her way out of it. The others got their food and then they made their way out to their usual spot.

"About time," Thomas says, waving at the group.

"Hey," Norville and Sky say, smiling at them. The group settles down and everyone digs into their food. Sky, Norville, and Thomas had waited for the others to join them. They talk about their classes and Sarah and Charlotte soon turn the conversation to the transfers’s former schooling.

“So what was it like being home schooled?” Charlotte asks Sky, Thomas, and Norville.

“Great,” Norville says, “Since my parents constantly hired me private tutors there really wasn’t much that I asked that I didn’t get answers to. I just had a tendency to avoid my potions tutor, because I really hate potions.”

“What about you two?” Sarah says, turning toward Sky and Thomas.

Sky says nothing and leans into Norville. Thomas reaches out and squeezes her hand. “Our mother was our teacher, but she mostly had a tendency to just teach me. Our dad is a very hard working man and a potion master himself. He would often take Sky with him to work when mother was being particularly mean to her, even after Mother cast that stupid curse on her.”

“Wait…Wait… Wait. Your mother cursed you?” Charlotte and Sarah exclaim.

“Yes,” Sky says, a frown on her face. “She put the Perfect Partner Curse on me.”

“Oh, well, then, don’t let anyone take Norville from you then.” Sarah says with a smile. “It isn’t very likely that you will ever meet another Perfect Partner, but do tell how did you two meet?”

“My parents were throwing a party for my birthday and since their dad works for my mom and papa they were invited along with the rest of their family. I must say these two are the most well behaved out of the lot. Anyway, at first we were a bit confused since Thomas and their dad had been being extra cautious about people interacting with her, mostly the boys since the girls were okay with touching her and everything. The thing that confused us was that I could touch her without a problem. I spent most of the party just talking to her and Thomas. I’d actually seen her in the potions lab with her dad previously and I then made it a point to drop by whenever I heard she was there. We officially met when we were seven and then started dating about a year and a half ago.”

“Okay, now I’m confused. What exactly is the Perfect Partner Curse?” Bella asks, as her phone chimes. “Oh, Mr. Aaron will be back tomorrow.”

“The Perfect Partner Curse is a forbidden spell that parents would cast on their children to insure that they found a person that would truly make them happy and would remain, oh how did they put that, pure until marriage.” Sarah starts.

“It was also called the Soulmate Curse, but you didn’t have to be perfectly compatible with the person, some of the couples would have fights and the effects were not instantaneous.” Charlotte continued.

“Actually, it was made by a woman who wanted to get her son together with a girl when he told her he was gay. She was rather disappointed to discover that the spell back fired on her as he ended up marrying a man. The curse first determines if the person is homosexual, or even bisexual. After that it cuts contact with the gender you are attracted to.” Blaise says.

“In Sky’s case, she was to young to really have sexual preference when the spell was cast and didn’t really go out much anyway. The curse would shock just about anyone who touched her, boys and girls unless their personalities were quite similar to hers and then it would only shock them if she tried to hug them. It never shocked anyone blood related to her, so she and I could still play together and dad would play with her. Our other siblings didn’t really have much to do with her.” Thomas explains.

“As we got older, the curse changed as I determined my sexual orientation. I decided I liked boys and then the curse would only shock boys, so I got to make some female friends. Then we re-examined my relationship with Norville as our personalities were quite different, what we figured out was that we complemented each other. That’s when we decided to start dating.”

“So after how many siblings do you two have?” Sarah asks. “I have an older sister, and Charlotte has an older brother.”

“Without including each other. Twelve, all older than us.” Sky and Thomas say at the same time.

“Wow, that is a lot of mouths to feed.”

“Yeah, but Dad has a well paying job, and our sister Hazel loved gardening from a young age so by the time the fourth child was born she was producing some of the vegetables that we ate. We live a decent climate for growing plants outside all year round so she was often out in the garden when ever she was free.” Thomas explains. “Mother is stay at home, but she’d do mending for some of the neighbors and we’d wear hand me downs until they wore out.”

“Now, on to you two,” Sarah says, turning toward Bella and Blaise. “Based on the fact that you two are dating and have been since before coming to this school. You two either went to the same school or two school that interacted a lot, so which is it?” At that moment, the bell rings. “Oh, darn it. You two will have to answer my question tomorrow, seeing has we have got to get to our classes now.”
