Mary had had wonderful few days with Adam, just like before any of this had happened. They would cook together, cuddle in front of the fireplace and take long walks. He had even picked up on her newly found love for darker literature and brought a new book with him every time he came back home.

She got to be a teacher again, principal even – thanks to Lilith – and was over the moon talking to her students whenever she liked. Lilith did not make the tiniest sound, in fact, Mary could have forgotten about her entirely, but she hadn't.

Every now and again she would reach out to the demoness, despite never receiving an answer, which saddened her.

"Lily?" No response as always. "I just want to let you know I'm here if you wanna talk, okay?"

She sighed at the lost attempt, seriously worrying about Lilith.

"I'm going to spend the day with Adam, taking a walk. You can join us if you feel like it. To take your mind off things..."

During this time with Adam, beside all the troubles, Lilith had started to feel like her evil twin sister or something in that direction. Mary chuckled at the thought. When the demoness had taught her how to teleport it had surprised her how much fun magic was. She had wanted to know more about it all, so she had spent most of her breaks reading Lilith's books in the office and had become quite an adept herself.

Maybe she could channel Lilith's powers more often? She could not deny she felt a bit shady and perhaps guilty as she had always been devoted to the light, God, and all that. But the dark had an appeal she could not explain. It made her want to explore the world beyond Greendale, explore all the hidden mysteries.

Walking through the forest, shortly before they arrived at the lake, Mary could sense Lilith's presence. Gentle, but she was there.

"Glad you made it, Lily."

Had to come out at some point, hadn't I?

The corners of Mary's mouth quirked up, content with things as they were, since for her, everything was going more than well. But Adam had always known how to sweep her off her feet. He wanted her to come with him to Tibet.

"What do you think Lily? I really want to go!"

But the Dark Lord... I've got duties here...

"You forget we can teleport..."

Good point. It's just Zelda... Arg, you know what? She's married now, what've I got to lose? A change of scenery is just what I need.

"Really? You're letting me do this?"

Go ahead, little damsel. But keep it cool.

Mary jumped a little with joy, her cheeks flushing red in excitement, but she did as Lilith had told her and kept her poker face.

"I will consider it... and have an answer for you tonight."

His arm around her waist felt like home, she did not need Greendale. Mary let go of all worries for now and focused on their little moment. She could feel Lilith watching them but did not mind, she was willing to share her positive vibes knowing the demoness was in desperate need of some hope.

Adam asked her to make a wish. Mary thought about it for a moment.

"I wish for both of us to be free." She threw it into the water, creating a splashing sound.
