Before I begin with this, I must say that your book has introduced me to a lot of new concepts. Never in my life had I heard anything such as a PSB and the closest I had gotten to knowing about something similar was through a movie called Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. So I must admit that I have quite the little knowledge of it.
The cover is satisfactorily done. Even though there aren't many elements involved, it promises a good mystery and adventurous thriller from just the look of it. A bold font married with just the right wallpaper always does the trick! The simplicity of the title amazes me, I think that it's good that you've laid out the highlight of your story into it. However, it gives me an idea that the story is in fact a set of series of books which I think you might publish in time. So if you aren't aiming for that, I suggest you improvise it a bit.
I must admit that, I absolutely admire the professionalism of your writing style. Ever since the very beginning, I could notice the intensity with which you have described every aspect of your plot. The words are so clear and understanding that even with all so many things playing out in just the first chapter, I could undoubtedly figure out everything it was that you were trying to convey. The characterization is thorough, I could easily get inside your imagination and see what you wanted us to, feel what your characters wanted to say. Lauren, at the beginning paints the picture of a kind-soul, she is forgiving, caring and loving with the way that she, for years has a PSB as her best friend. Further, we get to see the extent of her emotional side as she sacrifices herself to keep her lover from harm.
On the contrary, the protagonist Margo is the ideal teenage girl with a brazen attitude, rebellious side along with being emotionally sincere with the people she truly cares for. Honestly, I was engrossed within the first two chapters of the story itself, they were so well written and also the balance between the past and the present was very adequately maintained. The uniqueness of the story, the characterization of plot and the intense sentimental attachment that it gives out, makes it stand out from any other thrilling stories that I have read. I want you to know that I really enjoyed your book and I'm glad to be the one to review it.
