♣Review♣
“Cook up love” the title indeed is catchy and unique. And I can see the meaning of the title reflecting in the book. Talking about the cover; it’s simple but I think you could improvise it a bit. The apt images would bring the title in a new light and make it more eye-catching. The blurb is short and good. But needs some editing.
Adhira means moon as in the phases of moon, her life, indeed has shown quite the shift of phases. I honestly loved how you portrayed her childhood back in INDIA. But it would have been more clear and connecting if you had added some more of her emotions from that time. Like her perspective towards her life, thoughts about the parents that abandoned her. Though some parts imply it while she asked father Lois about them. But her own thoughts and inner feelings matter which actually helps the reader connect with the character and grow with it eventually.
The introduction of Rudra as a character was quite interesting and was a great addition to the story. The mysterious boy image was well carried and his disappearance was also quite interesting. It made me hooked for sure.
Then her shift to Nepal, her attachment to the newly born and sort of nurturing her it was all quite sweet and showed a beautiful part of her personality. Further, the plot goes good where the sisters have to depart and Adhira is adjusting in her new life in Sydney. The character Raghav and the roller coaster of emotions he brought in Adhira's life was also noticeable. But his character need some development in a way to keep the readers intrigued throughout the story as it progresses. Further, into the story, I find the hooks are missing.
Your writing style is quite simple and I should say you have carried it well. I haven’t come across any spelling mistakes but I have come across some grammatical mistakes which can be solved no issues. Further, I found some paragraph and sentences repeated so do check it.
Summing it up, it's actually different and unique story from what I have read so far. You have good writing skills, I must say but putting a story together in life is quite important. If you master that then there is no end as you just have to pull some strings and its beautiful.
You have the needed potential, the book shows the amount of research work you have done is quite appreciable. The concepts of Mahabharata and Ramayana that you have tried to include was a great move. Myself being a great fan of the epics, I was quite enlightened to see that. So do keep writing and learning and improvising and achieving.
