Evan's POV—
"Spencer," I say as I follow Spencer down the halls of the school. She ignores me and continues to walk ahead of me, going a little faster now. I can only continue to follow her as I start to grow a little bit upset, and slightly annoyed.
I had started following her the second she had walked past me several seconds ago.
It's been since someone saw me and Ashley kiss in the hallway before we started dating that she's been ignoring me. Which was more than a month ago, as of right now. And the fact that she's still ignoring me is starting to get me really annoyed.
Don't get me wrong, I get that Ashley isn't her favorite person or whatever, but that doesn't make it ok for her to just flat out avoid me for a little more than a month.
It's ridiculous.
"Spencer," I repeat. She walks a little faster. I can only walk faster as well to try to keep up with her.
"Spencer," I say again.
The pattern repeats once more.
She walks faster, and I do the same.
Except now, we're starting to gain some attention.
"Spencer," she only continues to ignore me.
Now I'm really getting annoyed with this.
"Spencer. Spencer. Spencer. Spencer. Spencer," I start to continuously say her name, quickly. In the past, this has always gotten her really annoyed. And when she's annoyed, well it's only a matter of time before she snaps.
"Spencer. Spencer. Spencer. Spencer," it doesn't take long for me to start tripping over her name. Saying her name repeatedly like this, and at a fast pace, is proving itself to be a very challenging thing to do. So I slow it down a bit to prevent myself from tripping over her name anymore.
"Spencer. Spencer. Spencer. Spen—"
"Oh my God. What, Evan," Spencer eventually cuts in, abruptly stopping in her tracks and whipping around to face me.
And as I figured as much, she looks annoyed.
But at least I finally got her attention.
And she's talking to me.
"Can we talk?"
"About what," she says, sighing as she lifts her backpack off her shoulder for a second to reposition it.
"Well for starters, hi. Do you remember me? Evan? Who's been your friend since middle school? Who you've been ignoring for the past month?" I start while trying to catch my breath.
The girl's a fast walker.
"Yeah? What of it," is all she says as she leans the majority of her weight on one foot, making her hip pop out a bit.
"What of it...? Spencer, I get that you're upset that I didn't tell you about what was happening with me and Ashley, but flat out ignoring me for weeks is a bit dramatic, don't you think?" I ask her.
"Why do you care? You're too busy following Ashley around like a lost, and hopeless puppy," is all she says in response.
"So Ashley is who you have a problem with," I conclude. She just rolls her eyes.
"I'm just surprised that you don't have a problem with her," she tells me, saying it like it should be the most obvious thing in the world.
"Why would I have a problem with Ashley?" I ask, narrowing my eyes in general confusion and growing annoyance at her stubbornness towards my girlfriend.
