Evan's POV—

"Evan, check me," Jaxon says before he extends his arms to the side. I look up and down at him, seeing if there's anything he's missing—which he isn't, but for his sake, I make it look like I'm genuinely making sure.

He's been asking all his groomsmen to check him for anything that's missing for the past hour or so. Even more so since we're about to walk out to the altar.

"All clear, everything's in place," I tell him. He nods, letting out a breath he's been clearly holding the entire time I checked him out.

"Hey, Jax, there's nothing to be worrying about. You and Nicole are meant for each other, I know so," Jaxon's best man, Tyson, tells him as he walks up to him, patting him on his back.

Tyson's really the only one I know in Jaxon's party. I literally only just met everyone else within the past month or so.

"Exactly. And in, what, a few minutes, you're going to go up there, exchange a couple vows, say I do, and that's literally all there is to it. You two will be married in no time. You've got this bro," I tell him, offering him a similar reassuring smile as Tyson gave him.

Before either of us can say anything further to cool his nerves down, the music we'll be walking down the aisle to starts. I look ahead of me, just barely being able to look over everyone's heads to see the top edge of the altar at the end of the aisle.

In no time at all, it's Jaxon's turn to walk down the aisle. He visibly takes a deep breath before he follows Nicole's mom down the aisle. I can only smile at my older brother's back as he makes his way down, feeling really happy for him.

I start walking down after Tyson.

There are flowers literally everywhere. All along the doorframe leading into the big open room, lining the edges of the both sides of the aisle and the chairs closest to the aisle. Lights are hanging from the ceiling of the room, softly and randomly flickering white. And the altar at the end of the aisle is nothing but even more flowers, covering nearly every inch of the arch.

Maybe they went a little overboard on the flowers, but it still looks nice.

I offer Jaxon one more smile when I reach the altar, taking my stop next to Tyson—another one of Jaxon's close friends standing on the other side of me.

I still think it's hella cool that Jaxon wanted me to be apart of his party—referring to me as his Best Sibling rather than his Best Man.

My grandparents, dad, Rebecca, Ashley, and our siblings are all within the first couple of rows on Jaxon's side of the guest seating along with Melany. Other relatives and friends of Jaxon's fill the rest of the seating.

I'm not entirely thrilled with Melany being here, but it is what it is.

Lord knows I won't be inviting her to my wedding—if I get married that is.

Not like she would really want to go anyway.

When it finally gets to Nicole's turn to walk down the aisle, everyone stands up and turns to see her. I quickly glance towards Jaxon, seeing him with a big smile on his face as he looks towards her. The wedding ceremony proceeds smoothly once Nicole's dad hands her over to Jaxon.

I lost track of all what they were saying pretty quickly. I just kept looking at several different places. Out towards the doorway, out towards the audience, exchanging a couple looks and smiles with Ashley or one of my siblings, and looking towards my brother and his soon to be wife.

And even though I couldn't really see his face, I knew Jaxon had a big smile on his face.

My feet just about thanked all the Gods out there in the world when the officiant finally announced them husband and wife. It wasn't that long of a ceremony, but I honestly find it very difficult to just be able to stand in one place for an extended amount of time, especially if I'm doing nothing but literally just standing there.
