Chapter 20: Seed
(Season 3!)Glenn's POV
It's been months since the attack on the farm. Months since we lost some of our group. Over the months that passed, things in the remaining group have changed.
Lori's bump has grown. She's ready to give birth, and soon. Everyone in the group knows that we're going to have to stop moving and find somewhere to stay. If that place ever comes..
"Everyone stay close. Don't make a lot of noise." Rick whispers, his hand resting on the door handle of the car, ready to open it.
"Glenn," Soft fingertips brush against my forearm, gripping it gently. I turn my head, looking into nervous blue eyes. "I'm coming with you."
I nod my head in response. I can't stop her from coming. If Kadyn wants to go, she'll make sure of it.
"Okay, let's go." Rick announces, opening the door. I open my door, and help Kadyn out. She immediately pulls out her knife and follows Rick to the abandoned looking house.
Rick looks at us all and nods before swiftly opening the front door. We follow shortly after, weapons raised and ready to attack.
Kadyn sneaks off somewhere else in the house, but I don't bother following her.
After a few more minutes of scouting and killing only one walker, I come to a different room. The door is closed, but I hear a small bit of noise on the other side.
I try to twist the knob, but the door is locked. But suddenly, the door bursts open from the other side.
Kadyn stands on the other side, her knife raised as if she was about to stab an enemy. When she sees me, she lowers her weapon, and grins at me.
"Oh, it's you." Kadyn smiles. I return her smile, but glance over my shoulder to make sure the room was still clear.
"The house is clear. Rick told me." Kadyn says happily, pressing her lips to mine briefly.
"Good. We can rest here for a while." I reply, sticking my knife back in my belt.
Rick tells Kadyn and I to drag the corpses outside, so we do.
I take hold of the shoulders of a corpse, allowing Kadyn to handle the easier and less disgusting side.

Finally, we throw down the last body onto the fair sized pile. I look at Kadyn, who smiles wearily at me.
Kadyn glances around us quickly for walkers. Then, she steps closer to me, and places her small hands on my chest.
My eyes soften, and I feel myself smiling at her, my hands gripping her waist. Kadyn leans up and kisses the corner of my lips, her eyelashes fluttering a bit.
Even after all the months that we've been together, each kiss seemed to make my heart stop.
When we return inside, the whole group is in the small house, and residing in the living room.
Kadyn prowls into the kitchen to look for food with Carl. Daryl shot an owl, and is busy plucking the feathers off.
Then, Kadyn returns to me quietly, shaking her head in disappointment. She sits down next to me, with her legs folded underneath her.
Carl then appears, sitting down with a can of dog food. I feel my eyebrows furrowing slightly. He's not really going to eat that, is he? Rick notices and takes the can away, throwing it in the fire pit.
Kadyn absentmindedly places her hand on my leg, rubbing her fingers along the fabric of my jeans. I reach out and touch her hand, and she jumps a bit.
