Chapter 17: Judge, Jury, Executioner

Kadyn's POV

I wake up the next morning with a jolt. I sit up and look around. I sigh; I was just in the RV.

I pull on my boots before standing up from the couch. I stretch my arms and let out a yawn. I knew that it was kind of cold out, so I grab the soft navy blue jacket I had found earlier and pull it on. Then, I leave the RV.

Breakfast was being served already outside, and I fix myself a plate. Looking around at everyone, I realized that I must have been the last one to wake up.

My eyes land on Glenn, who was also eating breakfast, over in the shade near his tent. He looks up at me, but I look back down at my plate quickly, cursing myself for letting him catch me staring at him. Unless he was already watching me..

I sigh to myself as I sit down in a fold up chair on the opposite side of camp from Glenn, and begin to eat.

I can't help but glance back up at Glenn out of curiousity, only to find him watching me. There's a look in his eyes that captivates me - I've never seen this in his eyes before. He runs his tongue across his lips in a somewhat nervous fashion, which I find extremely attractive, but of course, I don't let him know that by my look.

Instead, I raise my eyebrows and give him a look that says "What?"

Glenn just tilts his head a little to the side and continues to gaze at me. He reminded me of a puppy. A cute puppy.

I blow a piece of hair out of my face, and break eye contact, trying to focus on my food. Although, I know that Glenn is still watching to me.

I quickly finish the rest of my breakfast, trying my hardest to ignore Glenn and his attractive expressions.

Lori was crouched down by the fire. Shane and Rick were standing nearby.

"So what are you going to do?" Lori asks. "I'll feel better if you knew the plan."

"Is there a plan?" Andrea asks, walking out from behind her. I roll my eyes at her and make my way over to where Rick was. I wanted to listen in too, if they were talking about Randall. Glenn also comes closer to hear, and stands with his hands in his pockets, only glancing at me a few times.

"We gonna keep him here?" Glenn asks Rick.

"We'll know soon enough." Rick replies.

Then, Daryl approaches the camp from the slaughter house where Randall was being kept, and I silently praise him for being a distraction from Glenn.

"Boy in there's got a gang." He says as he reaches us. "Thirty men. They got heavy artillery and they ain't lookin' to make friends. They roll through here, our boys are dead. And our women are gonna wish they were."

I look at Glenn nervously, pulling on the ends of my jacket. "What did you do?" I ask Daryl, eyeing his bloody knuckles.

"Had a little chat." He shrugs, walking forward to get something to eat.

"No one goes near this guy." Rick orders.

"Rick.. what are you gonna do?" Lori asks gently.

"We have no choice. He's a threat." Rick declares. "We have to eliminate the threat."

"You're just gonna kill him?" Dale asks, shocked.

"It's settled." Rick says. "We'll do it today."

He walks off, and Dale follows him. I sigh and look around the group, spotting Maggie. She smiles at me, and I wave before walking over to her.

"Hey." Maggie greets me.
