You know, the excitement of learning my best friend from childhood was a werewolf was beginning to wear out. It was pretty exciting that he became a werewolf. Still, after Peter, the hunters, and now this stupid snake-like creature, it was beginning to put a damper on the exhilarating moment. To make matters worse, just as I was talking to Lydia and possibly for once making her see that I could be a friend and hopefully more than that, Erica dragged me by the ear to speak with Derek about what I saw at the repair shop. That wasn't even the worse part. The worse part is the snake-like creature attacked us, and I have to hold up the paralyzed douchebag of a wolf in eight feet of water, and he wasn't even grateful.

"Will you get me out of here before I drown?" He grumbles at me as I continue to be the only thing keeping us both afloat.

"You're worried about drowning?" I scoffed, "Did you notice the thing out there with multiple rows of razor-sharp teeth?"

"Did you notice that I'm paralyzed from the neck down in eight feet of water?" He snaps, almost shouting at me.

"Okay," I relent, not wanting him to kill me if we survive this. I move my head around the best I could, searching for this creature. "I don't see it." Feeling a little bit better, I began to kick the two of us towards the edge of the pool.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait. Stop, stop!" Derek shouts at me instantly, making me stop. I turn my head toward where Derek was looking, and my heart starting beating faster as I saw the creature stalking the edge of the pool. It wasn't heading toward us even though I was sure it would have an advantage over us.

"What's it waiting for?" I ask Derek, hoping he knew. We watched as the snake monster crept to the edge of the pool before sticking its foot, paw? Whatever it's called into the water before leaping backward hissing.

"Wait, do you see that?" I say, surprised, "I don't think he can swim." The snake creature continued to stalk the pool, though, knowing that we couldn't stay afloat for much longer, or at least I couldn't since Derek was useless, but to my surprise, I heard footsteps running down the hallway before the doors to the pool swung open. The snake creature turned toward the uninvited guest hissing, and I was surprised to see Atlantia standing there. Her eyes glance toward Erica who laid unconscious off to the side before they focus back on the snake creature.

"You two alright?" She calls out to us.

"Yeah, but I'm not sure I can keep doing this for much longer!" I shout at her. She doesn't respond but suddenly, out of nowhere, a long staff with sharpened ends appears in her hands. Atlantia swings it behind her back before getting down in a crouch waiting for the creature to make a move.

"How did the hell did she do that?" I wonder out loud before the snake creature rushes Atlantia. She pushes herself into the air over the creature just in time, even managing to scrape the end of her staff on the creature's back. It hisses in pain before trying to swing its claws at Atlantia, but she dodges the swing. Unfortunately, she didn't have anywhere to go except the pool since the creature blocked the other paths, so she fell into the water. To my surprise, a beautiful ocean blue-colored tail replaced her legs, and her clothes melted away, so only a tan shell bralette remained. Atlantia pushed through the water quickly toward Derek and me, grabbing us before launching out of the pool on the other side, away from the snake creature. She lands next to us, still with a tail and no legs, so she was working to dry herself, but the snake creature quickly moved toward us. Atlantia stops drying herself with her heat power and instead pushes the water out of the pool at the creature trying to slow it down. It did the trick since the creature hissed, backing away for a second before beginning its sprint toward us. Atlantia freezes a bunch of the water into an ice ball the size of a bowling ball and just as smooth. The creature froze when Atlantia brought it directly between them, staring at its reflection in the ice ball before it launches itself over us onto the wall. It climbs all the way up before swinging itself through the glass panel in the roof of the gym. Just then, Scott comes running in, shifted into his wolf form. Atlantia scoffs before continuing to dry herself.
