The last several weeks were probably the best weeks I've had since the death of my family. I told Derek I probably wasn't ready for a relationship and he was actually ok with that but that didn't mean he didn't try to win me over. Every day after school, he was waiting by my car with some sort of gift which was really sweet. They were small gifts but they were really thoughtful since he made sure to tailor the gifts to me. From my favorite coffee to scented candles that matched the ones I keep around my house, Derek seemed to be slowly breaking the wall that I held over my heart for the last four years.

However, about a month and a half after Jackson was turned back to a wolf, I noticed that Erica and Boyd weren't at the school anymore. It didn't surprise me since I expected Derek to possibly call them for some training but once they didn't show up for an entire two weeks, I decided to visit Derek at the Hale House to ask him about the two teens.

It was Saturday and typically I don't see Derek since we weren't really dating and I used the weekend to hang with Lydia who was sort of lonely now that Allison had gone off to Paris but I let Lydia know that I couldn't go shopping with her because I needed to talk to Derek. She was super excited about that as she practically pushed me out her door and into my car even though I never told her what I was talking to him about but I think because I was showing interest in a guy, she was pushing me to date him as she had been trying to get me to date someone since I came here.

Anyway, when I arrived outside that Hale House, I was surprised to see Derek painting the front door but he looked to just be starting as I could see some sort of symbol painted over the door. Part of it was already painted over but the parts I could see weren't a part of anything that I recognize. I didn't speak to Derek right away as he was painting with no shirt on and I was momentarily stunned by his lean, muscular body which made for an embarrassing moment as Derek felt my presence and turned to see me obviously staring at his body.

"You like what you see?" Derek smirks. I grin at him.

"Maybe," I say walking over to him. I jerk my head at the door he was painting, "What's the symbol?"

"It's nothing. Just some teens vandalizing my family's house." Derek said but I could tell he was lying and I had a feeling it had something to do with Erica's and Boyd's disappearance.

"Speaking of teens, do you know where Erica and Boyd are? I haven't seen them in an entire week." I ask watching Derek closely. He stays silent and just turns back to painting the door.

"Derek? Where are they?" I say getting slightly concerned.

"Do you know what this symbol is?" Derek asks me finally, gesturing to the half-covered symbol on the door. I shake my head.

"No, what is it?" I ask.

"There's a reason why I was quick to build up my pack and try to find out who you were and what you were to my pack." Derek begins, "There's an entire pack made up of just Alphas and each time a new Alpha comes into play, they come to check out the pack."

"Are they the reason behind Erica and Boyd's disappearance?" I ask.

"Most likely. I found the symbol on my door about two weeks ago and moments later, Isaac comes running that Erica and Boyd were captured." Derek confirms. When Derek tells me that this happened two weeks ago, I felt anger well up in me. He knew for some time that they were missing but didn't tell me, someone who could possibly aid in the rescue mission

"You didn't think to tell me that Erica and Boyd were missing?" I shout at Derek angry, "I can help find them! I have powers that should be able to easily find them but I had to figure it out myself that they were missing!"
