Watching Atlantia stop her heart, or as she says, slows it down, was one of the hardest things I did. Without my wolf abilities, it felt like I was really watching Atlantia die so as I called the ambulance, it wasn't really acting since it felt like she had really died. I hoped who ever wanted Atlantia dead would believe this because we really needed to get ahead of the Benefactor. Two of us are already on our way to dying if this keeps going on any longer.

When the ambulance arrived at the hospital and I watch the doctors wheel Atlantia away as Melissa grabs me and pulls me aside. Keeping with the lie, she began to question me about what happened like Atlantia was a normal patient.

"I-I don't know." I say, "One moment she was in bed and then the next she was on the ground convulsing before she passed out." I think Melissa was about to ask another question but then I see the doctor walking toward us with the most sympathetic face and I knew, even though I already knew what he was going to tell me.

"No," Is all I say as he approaches, "Don't tell me that..."

"I'm sorry, Derek." The doctor said putting his hand on my shoulder, "We couldn't save her." I let out a roar and played the part of a boyfriend losing his girlfriend that he loved until they told me that I could see her. Melissa led me down to the morgue and I kept the image up until we step into the morgue where only the pack was.

"This better work." I say as I wipe away the tears of my dramatic emotional breakdown.

"Awww, Derek. You have other emotions than a sourwolf." I hear Stiles say smartly making me glare at him. He pouts, "And sourwolf is back."

I roll my eyes before turning to Scott, "Is Argent sending the message?"

He nods, "Allison, Issac, and Chris are all at his apartment and are going to send the message before meeting us here." Scott then looks around at the giant pack that has been kept here because of Atlantia. Some may say it was because Scott was a true Alpha but I could see it in everyone's eyes. They were here because of Atlantia. She was the one keeping them alive. She was the one helping them even in daily life. She was the one risking her already fragile life for them. Scott may hold the name as Alpha of the pack but everyone follows Atlantia.

My place in this plan was to stay in the morgue and protect Atlantia as the rest were watching the outside of the hospital, watching the cameras, or even just plain walking the hallways. I think I got Atlantia guard duty for two reasons. One, I was not a wolf any more so if the Benefactor came, the others would be able to handle it without worry about my weak ass. The second reason was probably that they knew I wasn't going to leave Atlantia's side when she was in this state.

I kept glancing at my watch, watching the time tick down and it was scaring me. We have thirty minutes and still no sign of the Benefactor. However, when it was around nineteen minutes left till Kira needed to be here to help Atlantia back, the power goes out in the hospital. I frown because I knew the Benefactor wouldn't just turn off the power to come check out if Atlantia was dead. It would be more sneaky. I step outside the door to the morgue to look around. There was only one way into the room so I wasn't worried about Atlantia since there was no way anyone could get to her unless they went through me.

Argent and Allison come around the corner with his gun out and Allison's bow drawn. Two seconds later, Stiles did the same and almost got a bullet to the brain from Argent.

"The power's out in the whole building. I lost all the cameras." Stiles says once Argent lowered his gun.

"Stay with Atlantia and Derek. Text me if you see or hear anything." Argent says to Stiles before disappearing back around the corner with Allison by his side. I nod my head to Stiles to go into the morgue first. He does as I say and after I take a look around, I join him. We sat in silence for about a minute before Stiles began to get anxious when Argent was not responding.
