I didn't know why I was still sitting in this really uncomfortable chair as Deacon checked on Atlantia. Scott was deemed healed thanks to Atlantia so I told him to get out of here before his mother got suspicious. Atlantia was still unconscious since she dropped in the main lobby after trying to make it in here. She really didn't want to wait for me to come and bring her in.

"Well, good news. She is healthy. Her body is just overworked. Healing Scott just exhausted her since her body basically took the damage to her body." Deaton says after a few minutes of examining her, "She might be more comfortable if you brought her home since all she needs is some rest. I doubt she will awake any time soon." I nodded my thanks as I stood and picked up the young girl in my arms.

"Thank you, Deaton." I say before I disappear out the door. I ran the whole way carrying Atlantia figuring it would be quicker than getting in my Camero. When I get to her house, I climb up through her upstairs window since I knew she kept it unlocked and she probably would not appreciate me breaking down her door so the window it was. I felt a weird buzzing feeling as I stepped through the window but I knew that was her protection shield around her house. It surprised me that she would consider me someone she trusts especially after she ended our alliance a week ago.

"Why are you still helping me?" I say under my breath as I lay her on her bed. I take her shoes off and tuck her in, "I've done nothing to help you but you will still risk your life to protect me and my pack." I began to feel weird standing over her as she slept so I climbed out making sure to close the window as I left. After one look back at Atlantia's home, I ran through her neighborhood back toward the center of town. Once there and after checking that I wasn't being followed, I made my way into the abandoned subway and was surprised to see Scott waiting for me there.

"How's Atlantia?" He asks me as I walk past him down the stairs.

"She's fine." I gruff out. "She just needs some rest."

"I guess to say that our plan went south is an understatement," Scott says following me.

"If we hadn't planned to try to save Jackson, Kara might have not been killed." I snap at him as I walk into the abandoned subway car.

"You blaming me for her death?" Scott asks surprised.

"I'm saying we need a new plan, because next time, one of us is going to be too hurt to heal even with Atlantia's power." I correct sitting in one of the seats

"Ugh, I get it. We can't save Jackson." Scott says leaning on a pole.

"We can't seem to kill him, either. I've seen a lot of things, Scott. I've never seen anything like this. Every new moon's just gonna make him stronger." I say grimly.

"But how do we stop him?" Scott asks me

"I don't know. I don't even know if we can." I admit, "Atlantia might be able to but I'm the one who turned him. I need to be the one to stop Jackson. It's my fault."

"Yeah, but you didn't turn him into this! I mean, this happened because of something in his past, right?" Scott reminds me.

"That's a legend in a book. It's not that simple." I scoff at him.

"What do you mean? What aren't you telling me?" Scott asks me.

"Why do you think I'm always keeping something from you?" I say in disbelief.

"Because you always are keeping something from me!" Scott shouts at me. He's got me there.

"Well, maybe I do it to protect you." I say.

"Doesn't being part of your pack mean no more secrets?" Scott asks. Not really since I don't share everything with Boyd, Erica, or Isaac.

"Go home, Scott. Sleep. Heal. Make sure your friends are safe... 'Cause the full moon's coming, and with the way things are going, I've got a feeling it's gonna be a rough one." I say. Scott hesitates for a moment before leaving me alone with my thoughts and my problems. I needed the moment because I had to prepare for the full moon in a few nights. That meant I had to pull out the chains and I'm not looking forward to chatting with the pups and showing them how to deal with their first full moon.
