I was glad that Scott came to that conclusion because if I had gone through the pain of holding myself on death's door for nothing, I would have been so frustrated at the situation especially with my body barely surviving. The only problem was that I didn't know how the Fates fit into this situation. I knew the Fates were behind this event happening but I couldn't figure out the why or the how. Well, scratch that. I know the why since they wanted to see me suffer but I couldn't tell you how they were doing it especially if they were using a banshee as their outlet.
To add to the knowledge that a banshee could be behind the entire Deadpool, Lydia comes to us with the knowledge that her grandmother could have faked her death after she found a coded message to her at the lake house. Lydia goes to Stiles's dad to see if he had any information that might help them figure out if there was a possibility that her death could have been faked. However, when she came back to Derek's loft where Derek was forcing me to stay so he can keep an eye on me-not that I was complaining since I got to spend time with him and I didn't really want to be in my home where I keep getting secret messages from whoever else the Fates were using to punish me-I wasn't expecting to see Parrish tell us that Haigh, one of the deputies on the force, tried to kill him by dousing him in gasoline and setting him on fire.
"He covered you in gasoline?" Derek said in disbelief.
"It's the fair and nails, isn't it?" Lydia says, "The parts of the body that are essentially dead."
"Well, they should be gone." Derek said looking at Parrish who had no marks on him, what-so-ever.
"I was set on fire!" Parrish obviously traumatized from this. I mean who wouldn't? "All of me should be gone."
"Not, if you're like us." Scott says.
"Like you?" Parrish says raising an eyebrow.
"I don't think he's like you guys." I say looking at his soul. I could see something I recognized but I couldn't place my finger on it and I wasn't going to waste energy trying to figure out what it was.
"Then what is he?" Lydia says. She knew I knew something and wanted me to share.
"Sorry, but I have no idea." I shrug.
"But you knew about Jackson, Kira, and you knew about Lydia before she even knew what she was." Scott says surprised. I was actually surprised he remembered that. "How do you not know what Parrish is?"
"I have a feeling what he is but if I am correct–though I am not going to waste energy to figure out if I am–then I would have to be absolutely sure before I break that news." I say.
"This is also a little out of my experience." Derek says, "There might be something in the bestiary. Did you try Argent or Allison?"
"I don't know where Argent is but Allison said she would look when she gets a chance." Scott says.
"Okay, hold on. What's a bestiary?" Parrish says before he shakes his head, "Actually, that's not even my first question. Just...Just tell me one thing. Are all of you like Lydia?" At our confused looks he adds, "Are you all psychic?"
"Psychic?" Derek repeats amused.
"Yeah, not exactly." Scott says before looking at Derek and I for confirmation to do what he needed to do.
"Okay, then what are you." Parrish asks as I nod like just do it. Scott lets his eyes glow before his faces shifts into his wolf's. Parrish stumbles backward in surprise. He looks at Scott before his eyes falls on me. "Wh-What about you? Everyone was looking at you for guidance like you are more powerful than them."
