That was one of the first times that I have ever said how many paths I see at one time and how many of those would lead to the outcome we would want. Honestly, I didn't see a problem with the outcomes that led to the one we want because typically it is like one and we always make it but this time there are five options which is so much better odds to me. The only thing that I was worried about was that the paths were in the hands of those who enter the temple. I couldn't enter because of my heritage or I could if I wanted to bring on the wrath of those Aztec gods but honestly how much more wrath could be bestowed upon me at this point?

I was glad I was the one driving the transport van because that meant no one was really talking to me so I was alone with my thoughts. It gave me a chance to figure out whether or not I was going to accept the wrath of the Aztec gods but I never made a decision until we arrived at the temple.

Liam was able to gain the control and strength to be able to control his wolf during the full moon, thanks to Stiles reminding him of the mantra that Satoni's pack says to stay in control. Derek, being the closest to the door, swung open the transport van once I was parked but what he, I, and everyone else was not expecting was a Berserker to be right outside. It pulls Derek out of the van and throws him against a rock and I heard an audible crack. I scream at the Berserker as I push myself out of the van before anyone could react. Throwing balls of pure power at the Berserker, I backed the Berserker into a corner before grabbing its arms and sending my power into the Berserker. The Berserker glows before he explodes into dusk. His armor made of bones falls to the ground with its face mask right in the center.

I stare at the remains of the Berserker for a moment, just breathing heavily, trying to calm myself before I turn to face everyone. I saw everyone standing over Derek and my heart falls as I remember the audible crack. Stumbling as I ran, I make my way over to Derek, falling to my knees next to him once I was near enough.

"How bad is it?" Peter asks sliding over to us. I lift Derek's hand to see blood seeping from a wound that I think occurred from a broken rib puncturing the skin.

"I'm fine! I'm fine. Just get to Scott." Derek says quickly, but it was obvious that he was in pain. I grab his hand to try to heal him but I felt a pushback and I knew that Derek was resisting my attempt on healing him. I knew someone could do that but I didn't realize that Derek also knew. I was about to ask him why he wasn't allowing me to heal him when he shouts at everyone, "Just find him. I'll be right behind you. Go." When no one moves, he shouts it louder. That got Peter to move but everyone else didn't so Derek looks at Stiles and says, "Hey...Hey save him." Stiles nods before beckoning for everyone to follow.

Derek lets out a laugh once everyone was inside the temple, "Lydia was right..." I frown because I didn't know why he was saying that.

"What do you mean, Lydia is right?" I ask him, "I was the one she predicted would die."

"She told me that she could feel like I was dying when we were preparing for your pretend death," Derek explains.

"You are not going to die." I say, "I won't let you die." I heard a roar behind us and I turn as Derek peeps around my shoulder to see what we already knew was coming toward us. Kate was walking toward us with two Berserkers flanking her.

"You might just have to concentrate on saving yourself." Derek says weakily. I frown before I summon a bunch of throwing knives.

"You can still throw." I say laying them next to him before I give him one knife in his hand. He accepts it with a nod before I turn toward the berserkers and Kate.

"Seems like your boyfriend is a little hurt." Kate smirks as we stand off.

"Nothing I can't fix." I say as I twist the double ended spear in my hands. It felt so familiar to hold this weapon since it was my choice of weapon during my demigod time which made me feel more confident as I face Kate and her berserkers.
