Ben's Room

Ben just finished putting on his uniform and he gets a call from... "Gwen?"

Gwen: Hey, doofus

Ben:What's up? I doubt this is you calling just because

Gwen:It's not, I just called to wish you luck in the Sports Festival

Ben is surprised that she knows about this, cause to his knowledge she's still in America "Oh thanks, I didn't think you'd hear about that"

Gwen laughs on the other line "Oh, I did more than just hear about it" This confuses him, but Gwen continues "Anyway, just wanted to wish you luck, and to remind you to not get beaten by anyone"

Ben laughs "Trust me I won't"

Gwen smirks on the other line "You'd better not" She hangs up and Ben gets everything he needs before getting wished luck by his parents and running out the door

Rex's Room

Rex got everything he needed and is ready to show the country what he's made of, he bolts out his room and is brought into a headlock by his brother "Caesar, get off"

Caesar lets go "Good luck out there, little brother. You better not hold back against anyone"

Rex scoffs "I'd never dream of it" He gets wished luck by his parents and runs out the door

Class 1-A Waiting Room

Everyone is talking and waiting to get called when "Salazar, Tennyson, Midoriya" Everyone looks to Todoroki as the three he called walk up to him "Looking at things objectively, I'm stronger than Midoriya. Although while I hate to admit it, weaker than you two" Midoriya nods as Rex and Ben look on in confusion, along with the rest of the class "And yet, All Might has his eyes on you. Doesn't he, Midoriya?" The three look to him in shock as he continues "I won't pry about that. And just like me, you two come from heroic families, very powerful ones. So just know, I'll do whatever it takes to beat all three of you"

Kaminari:One of the best in the class declaring war?

Kirishima:Hey hey hey, what's with the picking fights all of a sudden?

Todoroki:We're not here to make friends, so what does it matter?

Rex:Bold move declaring war like that Shinso guy. But if that's how you wanna play the fine. Just know that I won't make it easy for you. I'll be going in with everything I've got

Todoroki stares in silence and then Ben speaks up "Every student from every course is aiming for the top. If you think I'm gonna focus my attention squarely on you or get intimidated by you, then you must take me for a fool" Todoroki glares at him as everyone else looks on shocked but Ben continues "If you wanna come at me then come at me, but you're not the only person I aim to beat. Just like everyone else that ever participated in this festival, or any tournament or major event for that matter, I aim for the top, and I'll make sure to defeat anyone I have to" His words shock everyone, especially Jiro and Ashido, who have never heard him speak like this throughout the entirety of knowing him

Midoriya:While that was some cold phrasing, I agree with Ben and Rex. Everyone here is shooting for the top, and I plan to give it my all as well

Todoroki scowls at the three but then goes back to minding his business

All the first year students walk outside to the field where they see... Midnight as the moderator
