The Dragon Guardian (Zuko x Reader)

Commander Zhao

(Y/N) POV

Since Aang escaped and our ship was damaged from the avalanche, a week had past. The ship had to be repaired that was why we arrived at one of the Fire Nation ship ports. Prince Zuko, General Iroh and I went down the ramp.

"Uncle, I want the repairs made as quickly as possible. I don't want to stay too long and risk losing his trail.", Prince Zuko declared.
"You mean the Avatar?", General Iroh expressed.
"Don't mention his name on these docks. Once word gets out that he's alive, every firebender will be out looking for him, and I don't want anyone getting in the way.", he divulged.
"Getting in the way of what, Prince Zuko?", someone said
I turned around looking at the person.

Oh no! The least person I wanted to see!

"Captain Zhao.", Prince Zuko recited.
"It's Commander now.", Commander Zhao corrected. "And General Iroh, great hero of our nation."
"Retired General.", General Iroh also corrected.

Then Commander Zhao turned to me. I just glared at him.
"Well, who do we have here? If it isn't (Y/N), the best soldier of the Fire Nation.", he brought forward.
I just continued glaring at him.
"What a wonder that you aren't the weak girl from before! I see it from your bandage!"
"I trained a lot during the years I last saw you, Commander Zhao.", I said. "Or do you want me to call you father?", I sarcasted.
He glared at me while I was smirking.

Zuko's POV

What? Commander Zhao is (Y/N)'s father!

I observed Zhao glaring at her while she was smirking.
"The Fire Lord's brother and son are welcome guests anytime.", he stated. "You're welcome too, daughter.", he added with hatred. "What brings you to my harbour?
"Our ship is being repaired.", (Y/N) gestured to our damaged ship.
"That's quite a bit of damage."
"Yes. You wouldn't believe what happened. Uncle, tell Commander Zhao what happened.", I advanced.
"Yes, I will do that.", Uncle agreed.

(Y/N) POV

I knew General Iroh would have problems to not tell the truth.
"It was incredible. What, did we crash or something?", he asked us.
"Yes, right into an Earth Kingdom ship", I lied.
"Really? You must regale me with all the thrilling details. Join me for a drink?", Commander Zhao proposed looking at me.
"Sorry, but we have to go.", Prince Zuko refused taking a hold of my hand dragging me after him.
"Prince Zuko, show Commander Zhao your respect. We would be honored to join you. Do you have any ginseng tea? It's my favorite.", General Iroh mentioned walking ahead with Commander Zhao

Prince Zuko growled in rage shooting fire from his fists. He followed after his uncle and the Commander, me behind him.
