Sozin's Comet, Part 2 : The Old Masters

(Y/N) POV

June sat down after the fight and took a sip from her tea.
"I remember her, she helped you two attack us.", Sokka mentioned.
"Yep, back in the good old days.", Zuko said.
We walked to June.
"Hey June.", I greeted.
"Hey (Y/N). Nice to see you.
"Nice to see you too."
"Great, you brought Prince pouty with you. Where's your creepy grandpa?", she mocked.
"He's my uncle and he's not here.", Zuko clarified.
"I see you made things up with your girlfriend.", she referred to Zuko and Katara.

Zuko and Katara?! No way!

"I'm/She's not his/my girlfriend!", the two yelled at the same time.
"Okay, sheesh! I was only teasing."
She looked at me.
"Don't tell me you are together with Prince pouty?"
"Yes, I am. But can we please on our task?"
"So what do you want?"
"We need your help finding the Avatar.", I said.
"Doesn't sound too fun.", she took a sip.
That made me angry.
"Does the end of the world sound like more fun?"

We marched out of the tavern to Appa and Nyla. They growled at each other but then Appa licked her.
"Nyla.", June help out a piece of meat.
She threw it to Nyla who ate.
"Who is my little sniffly-wafly?", she pet her.
Nyla's tounge shot out. June quickly closed her mouth.
"Careful there! Okay, who's got something with the Avatar's scent on it?"
"I have Aang's staff.", Katara brought it from Appa's saddle.

June help the staff in front of Nyla to sniff. Nyla got the scent then looked around us to see if she got Aang's trace. But she turned around us then laid down with her paws on her snout.

"Well, what does that mean?", Zuko asked.
"It means your friend is gone!", June answered.
"We know he's gone, that's why we are trying to find him!", Toph mentioned.
"No, I mean he's gone gone. He doesn't exist.", June clarified.
"What do you mean Aang doesn't exist? Do you mean he is, you know, dead?", Sokka shrieked.
"Nope, we could find him if he were dead. It's a real headscratcher. See ya.", June climbed on Nyla.
"Helpful, real helpful.", Toph sarcasted.
"Wait. I have another idea. There's is only one other person in this world who can help face the Fire Lord. I'll be right back with a smell sample.", Zuko said.

A little later, Zuko came with a sandal. Dad's sandel already covered in flys. Everyone pinched their nose close.
"You saved your uncle's sweaty sandal?", Sokka asked.
"I think it's kind of sweet.", Toph said.
"You have to be strong now, Nyla.", I encouraged.
Nyla sniffed the sandal.
"Let's do this.", June reined Nyla towards the scent direction and rode off.
"June, wait.", I yelled.

We quickly climbed on Appa and followed the two. It took us day till we arrived at the inner wall of Ba Sing Se.
"We are going to Ba Sing Se?", Zuko questioned.
"Your uncle is somewhere beyond the wall. Nyla is getting twitchy. It can't be too far. Good luck.", June said.
"Thank you June.", I said.
"You're welcome, (Y/N)."
She rode off.
"It's been a long day. Let's camp and start our search again at dawn.", Zuko proposed.

Time Skip

We were sleeping peacefully on Appa while Toph slept in her earth tent. Suddenly we woke up surrounded by fire. Four mens stood in front of us.
