The eclipse only lasts eight minutes. And the royal palace is heavily guarded by firebenders. That's where we'll need the eclipse advantage the most.
Sokka, we're on our way to victory.
Fire Lord Ozai, WHERE ARE YOU?
(Y/N) POV
The Fire Nation continued to attack but the tanks protected us. Sokka and I were looking at the plan when we looked. Katara and Hakoda were walking towards us.
"Dad! You're on your feet again.", Sokka ran to them.
"Thanks to your sister. I'm in no shape to fight but maybe there's some way I can help.", Hakoda suggested.
"Everthing's going smoothly and the eclipse hasn't even kicked in.", I said.
"Let's hope our luck holds out."
Katara walked forward looking at the sky.
"Katara, are you alright? You seem distracted.", I asked.
"Yeah, is that ... is that Aang?", she observed.
I looked up seeing Aang who flew towards us on his glider.
"Please tell me the Fire Lord is a big whimp and you didn't need the eclipse to take him down.", Sokka asked him.
"He wasn't home. No one was. The entire palace city is abandoned."
"They knew. Azula must have found out when she was in Ba Sing Se.", I gasped.
"It's over. The Fire Lord is probably long gone, far away on some remote island where he'll be safe during the eclipse."
"No, he wouldn't go too far. He would have a secret bunker. Somewhere he could be during a siege, close enough to lead his nation.", Sokka guessed.
"If it's an underground bunker we're looking for, I'm just the girl to find it."
"They have a secret bunker.", I said.
"Where?"
"In the volcano.", I pointed to the volcano.
"The mecanist gave me this time device. It looks like we've got ten minutes until the eclipse. Ten minutes to find the Fire Lord.", Sokka took out the device.
"We can still do this. We can still win the day.", Aang declared.
"Wait, if they knew we were coming it could all be a trap.", Katara mentioned.
"I told you. Azula must have warned the Fire Lord about the invasion. So we have to be prepared.", I said.
"Maybe we should use the time to get out of here safely."
"Everyone who's here today came prepared to risk everything for this mission. They know what's at stake. If there's still a chance and hope, I think they would want Aang to go for it.", Hakoda said.
"What do you think? You're the one that has to face the Fire Lord. Whatever you decide, I'm with you.", Sokka turned to Aang.
"I've gotty try."
On Appa, Toph, Aang, Sokka and I flew towards the volcano. We landed climbing down.
"Do you feel anything down there?", Aang asked Toph.
"Yup, natural tunnels crisscrossing through the inside of the volcano."
"Anything else? Is there a structure somewhere?, Sokka asked.
Toph slammed her hands on the ground.
"There's something big, dense and made of metal in the heart of the volcano."
"A secret bunker, like I told.", I said.
She earthbended a hole into the volcano.
"Stay safe, we'll be back soon.", Aang said to Appa and Momo.
Together we went into the tunnel.
"This way. That one's a dead end.", Toph ran ahead, Aang, Sokka and I following her.
"What would we do without you?", Sokka praised.
"Perish burning hot magma."
"Yeah, pretty much."
We continued to run stopping in front of lava geysers.
"The tunnel continues and it leads right to the bunker.", Toph said.
"We'll have to be fast, but careful.", Sokka wanted to run but lava shot in front of him.
He covered himself when Aang airbended at the lave to cool it down.
"How is that careful?", I frowned.
"I was wrong. We need to be fast, careful and lucky."
We ran avoiding the lava shooting from the geysers. But then we arrived at a cliff but a river of lava under our feets.
"There's no floor. It's just a river of lava."
"Climb aboard and hold on tight.", Aang opened his glider.
"No, I have much better idea.", I transformed into a dragon and nodded to the three to climb on.
They did then flew over the river. At the end, they climbed off and I transformed back. We continued to run and ended at a metal door.
"That's some door."
Toph knocked on the door.
"Not a problem.", she metalbended at the door so we could go through.
"I am so glad we added you to the group.", Sokka cheered.
