Zuko's POV

We were sailing through the Earth Kingdom waters again since Crescent Island. I was training with the lieutenant on deck giving (Y/N) a few days off even if she refused it. She was still overwhelmed with grief because of what Commander Zhao said. Suddenly the ship abruptly changed the course making us lose our balance.

"Someone's changing our course."
I hurried to the control room.
"What's the meaning of this mutiny? No one told you to change course!", I snapped at the helmsman.
"Actually, someone did."

I looked behind me seeing Uncle playing Pai Sho with the crew. And (Y/N) was watching them.
"I assure you, it is matter of utmost importance, Prince Zuko.", Uncle said.
"Is it something to do with the Avatar?"
"Even more urgent. It seem I ... I have lost my lotus tile."
"Lotus tile?"
"For my Pai Sho game. Most people think the lotus tile insignificant, but it is essential for the unusual strategy that I employ."
"You've changed our course for a stupid lotus tile?"
"See, you, like most people, underestimate its value. Just give me ten minutes to check the merchants at this port of call. Hopefully, they'll have the lotus tile in stock, and I can get on with my life."
I let out a breath of fire in anger.
"I'm lucky to have such an understanding nephew."
I looked at (Y/N).
"What are you doing here, (Y/N)? You should actually be resting. You have a day off today.", I reminded her.

(Y/N) POV

He's so adorable when he cares about me. I have the feeling our roles are switched. That I'm the princess and he's my bodyguard.

"I really appreciate your concern, your majesty, but I'm hurt emotionally not physically. I can't stay the whole day in my chamber where all I can do is sleep.", I stated.
"So ... you will come with us to the port?", he questioned.
"Of course, it's my job to protect you."
"Alright, but please stay by my side.", he ordered.
I nodded smiling at him.
"Prince Zuko, I have the feeling that your roles are switched. That (Y/N) is the royal and you're her bodyguard.", Uncle opinioned.

Can he read my thoughts??

"I'm not!", Prince Zuko expressed.
He walked out of the control room blushing.
"You know I have that feeling too. You just read my thoughts, Uncle Iroh.", I giggled.
He giggled with me.

Time Skip

At the port, we searched everywhere for a lotus tile but found nothing.
"I've checked all the shops on this pier. Not a lotus tile in the entire marketplace.", Uncle Iroh announced.
"It's good to know this trip was a complete waste of time for everyone!", Prince Zuko snapped.
"Quite the contrary. I always say the only thing better than finding something you weren't looking for at a great bargain."

The soldiers come past us with things Uncle Iroh bought, the last with a tsungi horn.
"You bought a tsungi horn?", Prince Zuko questioned.
"For music night on the ship. You should join us one night (Y/N). Maybe my nephew could invite you for a dance.", he smirked.
I blushed. He was up to something again.
"Gladly.", I stammered.
"Now, if we only had some woodwinds ... Oh, this place looks promising.", he said pointing at a pirate ship.

Suddenly I saw a beautiful silver necklace with heartshaped ruby.
