A Date of Reassurance

Zuko's POV

Two days had passed since the play at the theater. We trained hard for the day of Sozin's comet. But there was one of us who trained the most:(Y/N). I believed what she saw in the play about our deaths took a great toll on her. During these two days, I watched her train herself to complete exhaustion.

Today, when I came to the courtyard, I saw her training again. I could see the sweat perls on her forehead and hear her heavy breathing from afar.
"She's training since the early morning. I could hear from my bedroom out.", someone behind me said.
I turned seeing Katara next to me.
"If she continues like that, she will be exhausted by the time the comet arrives.", I declared, "There must be something we can do to make her stop training for a while."
"Zuko, have you done something with her since you got back together?"
"Like what?"
"You know like a ... date!"
My eyes widened at her answer.
"No."
She gasped in disbelief.
"Then it's settled. You take her out somewhere while the others and I will prepare everything for a romantic dinner."
She ran back inside.

Ok, Zuko. It's now or never.

(Y/N) POV

I continued training for the day of Sozin's comet. I trained so hard that I was blending everything what happend around me.
"(Y/N)?"
Thinking that someone was behind me to attack, I firebended at that person. That person dissolved it with his firebending.
"(Y/N)!"
That voice brought me back to reality. I gasped realising that the person behind me was Zuko.

I firebended at Zuko. What is wrong with me?

"Sorry Zuko, I thought you were someone else.", I apologised.
"It's okay. I'm sorry for scaring you."
I smiled at him.
"Is there something you need?", I asked.
"Actually, I wanted to ask you something."
I nodded for him to continue.
"I know that you'd forgiven me for betraying you. But I want to make it up better by doing something with you."
"Meaning?"
"What I mean is ... would you go on date with me?"
I gasped.

He wants to go on a date! With me!

"Right now?"
"Right now.", he confirmed.
I nodded.
"I'll go take a shower and change clothes. Meet up back here."
"Yes."

I left going inside the beach house. Once I was out of Zuko sight, I ran straight to the bathroom with a wide smile.

Time Skip

Zuko's POV

I waited for (Y/N) by the fountain in the courtyard. I was so nervous that I passed around.
"Zuko?"
I stopped and turned to (Y/N) in a beautiful outfit.

My eyes widened at her beauty.
"It's too much, isn't it?", she looked down.
I walked to her and lifted her chin so she would look at me.
"You're as beautiful as the day we had dinner at the ship.", I complimented.
I held my arm out to her.
"Shall we?"
"We shall.", she hooked her arm with mine.
Together we made our way out of the beach house towards the town.
