As the hallways filled up my thoughts faded.
I did my normal lunch routine, which is eating with my friends in the canteen. And as always, my mind cleared as they were in my sight.
"Omg, I can't believe that I passed that test! Ngayon lang ako nakapasa nang hindi inaaral yung lesson! I feel like celebrating!" Trixy exclaimed. Apparently nakapasa siya, with a high score on a surprise quiz that teachers do at least once every three months.
"Then let's celebrate! Ilibre mo kami." Aiden suggested and we all agreed.
"Okay, saan ba?" Trixy answered without any hesitation.
"Ay wow. Yaman ka girl?" Autumn pitched in and we all laughed.
"Okay never mind. Magcecelebrate nalang ako mag-isa." Kunyaring pagtatampo pa ng kaibigan namin.
"No no no, Trixy. Wala nang bawian!" Azira was giving her a teasingly disappointed look.
We all kept teasing and jokingly asking Trixy to treat us in some random restaurants. She ended up agreeing and we settled on getting some fast food and some snacks from convenience stores and drive up to this place Aidan found a few months ago.
"Nagdala ako ng bike," I said knowing that I can't have a mini road trip with them with my bike. I can't ride it and I don't want to leave it at school anymore.
"You can bring it home first then you can ride with me." Azira offered me. I even considered the idea.
"No, hindi din naman ako papyagan ng Kuya ko." we ended up thinking about ways on how I could come with them. Madalang ako makasama sakanila dahil kailangan alam ng Kuya ko kung nasaan ako at all times.
He probably doesn't even care anymore.
I had to look away to flush away the thought of him changing. As my gaze left the table, I caught a pair of eyes looking right back at me.
Noah. His eyes never left mine even though I just caught him looking at me. He smirked at me. Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay but his smirk faded into a smile.
"Noah pala, ha." pangaasar saakin ni Sky nang mahuli niya na tinitignan ko si Noah.
"Huh?"
"Nililigawan ka ba niya? Or are you courting him?" Kian teased me probably basing off of Noah's words when he ate at our table the other day.
"Pinagbibigyan ko kasi yung kaibigan niyo. May gusto kasi siya sakin."
"Ha?! Hindi ah!" Depensya ko.
"Maybe they're a couple na kasi." Autumn butted in and the others "ooh'd" and thought she had the right idea.
"No, we're not," I said. Hindi naman kasi talaga
"Ano lang? MU? Girl you're not kids anymore." Trixy said as if we were 12.
"Hindi ah!"
I don't even know if he likes me.
"Player yan, Lia. I think we all know that." Aiden reminded me.
Lumingon ulit ako kay Noah. He was just happily eating his lunch while talking to his friends.
"We're friends." Sabi ko para wala nang tanong.
"Hindi ako nakikipag-kaibigan sa mga babae."
So we're not friends? Unless nalang na mukha akong lalaki sa paningin ni Noah, we're not friends. And I think he made that clear enough.
But he never made what we have clear. Hindi ko alam ang maitatawag saamin.
"You're friend? How did you even get close?"
