"Let's start over. We're both different people from who we were back then. I'm not the same guy you met nine years ago. I want to get to know you as a business partner." Tuloy ni Noah.
"Since it's purely for business purposes, then let's go." I said as I stood up.
Sinundan niya ako but I ended up stopping in front of the doors of the building.
"I don't have a car." Mahinang sabi ko.
"No worries. Sumabay ka nalang saakin." He offered.
Tumaas ang kilay ko as I contemplated if I could stay in the same car as him. But I was already here.
He led me to a mini van. I've never seen it before so it makes it easier for me to get in because wala akong memories sa sasakyan na 'to.
"Where do you want to go?" He asked once he was comfortable in the driver's seat.
"I don't know." Mabilis na sagot ko.
"Fast food or restaurant?" Tanong niya ulit.
"I don't know." Ulit ko.
"You're still indecisive." Mahinang sabi niya.
"No i'm not." Mabilis din na tanggi ko.
"Okay Ms. Fernandez." He said with a smirk on his face.
I stayed quiet as he drove to where ever we were going to have lunch. Nakatingin lang ako sa labas ng bintana to avoid eye contact.
"Fast food nalang muna. I don't know how much time you have." Salita ni Noah as we entered a fast food parking lot.
We walked in and fell in line at the cashier to order food. Nakatingin lang ako sa menu na nasa taas ng cashiers.
Why was there so many choices?
I couldn't pick what I wanted to eat. I'd be happy with any of these but I couldn't pick.
It was already my turn and the cashier was already asking for my order.
"Indecisive." Mahinang sabi ni Noah sa likod ko.
"Isa nalang noong meal 2." Mabilis na sabi ko kahit hindi tinitignan ang inorder ko.
I payed and the minute I got my food, left the line to find a table for two in the corner of the restaurant.
"So Ms. Fernandez. Tell me more about you." He started.
"Well, I am the second out of the three children of Mr. Anthony Fernandez. I graduated with a degree in fine arts in Italy. And 'yon lang ata." I said as if I didn't know the person in front of me.
"Second? Okay." He said as if I answered the question he never asked. "I'm Noah Riverson. Youngest son naman ako. I graduated business to take over my parents' company. And i've been managing it for more than a year now." He said.
"Right." Tumango nalang ako dahil hindi ko na alam ang sasabihin ko.
"I have so many questions." Mahinang sabi ni Noah after a minute of silence.
"Like?" I asked before taking a sip out of my drink.
"Like what in the world happened to you and your brother?"
"Akala ko ba start again?" Kumunot ang noo ko.
"I know. I'm just so curious kung anong nangyari sa buhay mo ever since I lost you. I want answers and I thought I would get them last night noong kausap mo si Trixy but I got nothing I didn't know. Now I heard you talk to your brother in the conference room mas lalong hindi ko alam kung anong nangyari sa'yo." Mahabang sabi niya.
