The rest of the week passed and now I was sitting on my bed staring at my suitcase waiting for my friends' call.
It was the first day of our trip to Batanes for Trixy's 17th birthday. Hindi parin ako nakakapagpaalam sa kuya ko. But both my parents now know. Yes, even Anthony. I felt like I needed to tell him.
Noah and I are still a little shaky but we're getting better. I think that this trip would help a lot with that. Pero like my brother, hindi din ako nagpaalam kay Noah.
I was deep in thought, contemplating if I should call him and tell him i'm leaving for 3 days. But the loud noise of my phone ringing just decided that for me.
I asked him to pick me up because his house was the closest to mine.
I slowly took my suitcase down the stairs trying my best not to make a noise para hindi magising yung Kuya ko.
I thought I was the only one riding with Grey papuntang airport pero nakita ko si Azira na nakasakay sa passenger's seat kaya I sat in the backseat while Grey took my stuff and put it in his trunk.
Tahimik lang kami sa byahe papuntang airport because it was so early in the morning that none of us had the energy to talk yet. Like Azira who was dead asleep next to Grey.
I tried my best to fall asleep para hindi ko isipin nang isipin yung fact na hindi ako nagpaalam sa kuya ko and sa boyfriend ko.
I had my earphones in and had my eyes closed kahit na hindi pa ako tulog.
Soon after, ginising ako ni Grey.
He joked back.
"Kayanga kasi. I need more than 2 hours of sleep." Sabat ni Autumn.
"Edi maiwan kayo. Ang dami niyong reklamo. Edi sana bumili kayo ng sarili niyong ticket." Biro niya.
We all tried to joke around to keep each other awake while trying not to disrupt other people.
When we were on the plane, I sat on the window seat next to Trixy.
We all arrived at Batanes at around 6 in the morning.
Each room had two beds, kaya dalawa kami sa isang higaan. We all decided on me sleeping with Autumn, Trixy sleeping next to Azira, and the boys had a whole room to themselves so we didn't care about their sleeping arrangements.
Natulog muna kaming lahat bago magpaka-saya or gumala sa isla. I still couldn't fall asleep. I felt a little guilt inside of me.
