Noong nakumpleto na kami, sabay sabay kaming naglakad papunta sa kaniya kaniya naming mga sasakyan. Dumeretso ako sa kotse ni Noah noong nakita ko 'to. Then I realized, hindi pala siya nakasunod saakin like I thought.
I looked around the parking lot and couldn't see him.
"Magvovolunteer sana ako na makisakay diyan sa kotse ni Noah para di ka nagiisa. But it looks like you're comfortable enough to be with him alone in a car." Autumn loudly said because she was by Aiden's car na nasa tapat ng kotse ni Noah.
"Okay lang, I guess." pagassure ko sakaniya.
She quickly walked my way.
"Comfortable ka na sakaniya." she quietly stated with yet another smirk on her face.
May something talaga sa tao ngayon. Laging nakangisi.
"Siguro." maikling sagot ko.
I am actually very comfortable with him for some reason. I don't know when and why that happened. I used to look at him as this kid who would go through girls like it's a race. Pero ngayon, I find myself saying yes to things he wants me to.
"It's weird no?" Autumn asked out of nowhere. Hindi ako nagsalita dahil hindi ko naman alam ang ibig niyang sabihin. "One second you have no interest what so ever sa isang tao. Then the next, you find yourself laughing to their corniest jokes."
There was a second of silence between us. We were both lost in our thoughts.
"Hindi pa ba tayo aalis?" Nagising ang diwa naming pareho nang tanungin iyon ni Noah.
He had my bike in his hands. It totally slipped my mind that I had a bike that I needed to get.
"I'll see you there." Paalam saakin ni Autumn at bumalik sa na sasakyan ni Aiden.
"Sorry, nakalimutan kong kunin yung bike." I said and tried to get it out if his hold but he just lifted it up and placed it carefully in his truck.
"All good." Nginitian niya ako at pumunta sa pinto ng passenger's seat. Sinundan ko siya d'on dahil alam ko na doon ako sasakay.
"I'll help you get in." sabi niya as he opened the door. I gave him a subtle smile and let him help me climb into his car.
His right hand held mine and his left was on my arm as I pulled myself into the seat. He even made sure I had my seatbelt on correctly before closing the door.
I unconsciously let out the breath I didn't realize I was holding.
Without saying a word, umalis na kaming lahat sa parking lot ng school namin.
Hindi ako nagsalita dahil wala naman akong sasabihin kay Noah. Kahit sobrang daming tanong na gusto ko ng kasagutan, I feel like this isn't the right time.
We've known each other for years without actually knowing each other. Wala pang dalawang linggo mula noong araw na una niya akong kinausap. It suddenly feels like it was so long ago.
He didn't bother starting a conversation either. So without us talking, nakarating kami sa convenience store na malapit sa school.
He told me to stay in the car and siya na daw bababa para saaming dalawa. I was left alone with the chance to get deep into thought again.
Autumn's words from earlier came back to me. It's really crazy how fast you can get attached to a person. But am I attached? Already? God, whatever this is, it's stressful.
"I'm back." Sabi niya pag ka bukas niya pa lang ng pinto.
"Anong binili niyo?" tanong ko.
"Snacks and drinks." bigla niyang inabot saakin ang isang bote.
