As we moved from the library to the choir room, I could see Angie growing visibly nervous about heading to Glee club that afternoon.
"Is there any kind of, like, audition process?" She asked, wrapping her arms around herself.
"Um..." I paused, wondering whether we would bother. "I guess so, I had to audition."
"Because, like I said, I'm not a singer."
"Well, even if you don't sing, you'll still have to do back up vocals and stuff so... maybe you might have to sing just so we can figure out how you gel with the club-"
"Marley!" She exclaimed, her voice still as low as a whisper. "You lied to me."
"I didn't lie," I smiled, "I just didn't tell you the whole truth."
When we walked into the choir room, Mr. Schue and Finn were excitedly planning out our next performance.
"Mr. Schue, Finn," I interrupted, stepping up to the piano, "this is Angie, she wanted to join Glee club."
Angie quickly stepped up beside me, filled with confidence I hadn't yet seen from her. "And Marley is going to be performing with me."
I turned to her, mouth wide open. "When did we agree to that?"
She shrugged, tossing her hair over her shoulder. Angie stepped over to the band guys, timid again, and politely asked them to play a certain song. Old style music, probably from the 1960s, echoed throughout the choir room. It caught the Glee club's attention; they were all watching us, waiting for our performance to start. Angie turned to me, a cheeky smile on her face, and motioned me toward the middle of the floor.

You've gotta want it badHer voice was so sweet, yet so powerful. It had a melodic tone to it, of course, but it was strong and confident. It was... so beautiful. And Angie said she was not a singer.
I caught the rest of the Glee club's faces light up as she sung out those very few words. I knew, in that moment, I had found us a perfect fit.

Tell him, tell him, tell him, tell him right nowAngie stepped in front of me and begun to dance. She tapped her feet and jazzed her hands, a style very typical of the 1960s, and turned around to shake her butt right in Jake's face.
Angie:

It's been that way for man
And women were created (New Directions Girls: Ah)
