After prom, I tried my best to avoid Travis... obviously, I had kind of struggled to do so since we were in Glee club, but I didn't talk to him as much.

It had only been a week since prom and all of a sudden, we were shoulder deep in songs for Nationals. We found out that the theme for this year was Love Songs, and Mr. Schue was planning on getting us to go through the music this afternoon.

I was kind of excited about this theme, to be honest. I have this thing for love songs, but I've been crying a lot more every time I listen to one - ever since Ryder had left for Miami.

We were sitting in the choir room; it was around three pm and we were all quite exhausted from the day we had had. Most of us were nearly falling asleep in our seats, but the other half of us were bright and chirpy.

"Okay," Mr. Schue said, walking into the room. "Let's get into researching songs to sing!" He declared, pulling out some papers, but Jake stuck up his hand.

"I have a love song, Mr. Schue, and maybe it could be a contender for Nationals." Mr. Schue nodded and moved out of the way as Jake walked to the centre of the room with a smile.

He began swaying as he sung, closing his eyes and getting really into the words of the song.

Jake:
Oh my love, my darling
I've hungered for your touch
A long, lonely time

And time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine
I need your love
I need your love
God, speed your love to me

I always secretly hoped Ryder would sing this to me, and I wished he was singing with Jake... but I guessed Ryder would go all out and make sure we were in the pottery room and we'd re-enact the whole scene from Ghost.

Lonely rivers flow
To the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea yeah

Lonely rivers sigh
Wait for me, wait for me
I'll be coming home

Wait for me
Wait for me

Oh my love, my darling
I've hungered, hungered for your touch
A long,lonely time

And time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?

I saw Jake send a wink in Angie's direction and I was tempted to stand up and scream "Just start dating already!" because they had been crushing on each other for a whole year and neither of them had made a move yet.

I need your love
I I need your love
God speed your love
God speed your love
to me

Yeah
Ohh
Uhh

We all clapped and Jake raised his eyebrows at Mr. Schue and Finn. "Reasonable?" He smiled as Mr. Schue nodded.

"We''ll think about it," Jake walked back to his seat, high-fiving Angie on the way back.

"I think we should sing I Only Have Eyes For You." Travis suggested.

Mr. Schue gave a nod and was about to write it down, but that song made me sensitive and I felt myself tense up."No!" I shouted. "We can't. Cannot sing that at Nationals. We can't!" I stood up and walked out of the room, crossing my arms.

Why was I getting so dramatic about everything? It was like I couldn't control myself without Ryder around.

"Marls!" Angie stopping me in the middle of the hallway. She grabbed onto my elbow and spun me back around. "I know that got to you. But you have to remember; he doesn't know that that is yours and Ryder's song... well, one of them, anyway. You talk about your songs like, all the time and there's so many I can't count, but he didn't know."
