I had to admit, I was excited about the cast list being put up, and I couldn't take my mind off of it.

The musical was very important to me. It made me feel special and talented, but I couldn't help but feel a little bit guilty about if I got the lead - I did get it last year, after all.

I was just about to talk to Ryder on Skype, the cast list still on my mind. It was about lunch time, and I was eating a ham and cheese sandwich in my room, waiting for Ryder to come online so we could chat just for a little bit.

"Hey." Ryder's face popped on the screen unexpectedly, scaring me slightly.

"Hi, Ryder. What's up?" I said, wiping my face to rid of crumbs.

"Nothing much. Just scrolling through Facebook and Youtube... there is nothing at all besides Alfie's new video which is awesome." Ryder laughed, rubbing his eye. "You?"

"Just thinking about the cast list-"

Ryder interupted me loudly, banishing the background noise. "That is up on Monday, isn't it?"

"Yep. And I'm excited!" I shouted, waving my legs around in the air.

"Calm your farm." He laughed.

"Sorry." I laughed, tucking a stray hair behind my ear. "You'd get Nick if you were here, you know. You remind me of him." I said after a small silence.

"So... you think I'm going to jail?"

"Yeah." I joked, rolling my eyes slightly.

"I love you." Ryder sighed, leaning his head on his hand.

"I love you too." I grinned at him and scratched my back, thinking of another question to answer or something to talk about. "How's your brother?" I asked, noticing Ryder was looking down at a book, his eyebrows furrowed at the lined paper with scribbles on it.

"Alright, I guess. He can't go to school, which is funny, but he's good."

"Okay.. what about you?" I said, twirling the end of my hair.

"Uh, I miss you like crazy. Sometimes I zone out in class because I'm thinking about you and only you... Err, I do have friends now, who all have girlfriends that hang out with us, and their friends tend to flirt me-"

"They flirt with you?" I snapped, letting jealousy take control.

"Marls, I ignore them. I act dumb and oblivious to them." He grinned, writing something down before slamming his book shut.

"Same way Angie and Jake act around each other."

"Still at the flirting?" He laughed.

"Yeah... when are they going to hook up? Jake sung a love song for his audition for the musical, and I swear it was for Ange." I laughed.

"He's in love. Like I'm in love with you, you know. I think that's what's actually going on between them." Ryder said, picking his guitar off the ground and throwing it on his bed recklessly. "I am madly in love with you... as is Jake. Except not with you... if that makes sense..." Ryder grinned, flashing his pearly white teeth in my direction.

"I get it. That thought was in my head."

"Oh, okay." Ryder shrugged, going back to his work.

"Anything good happening?" I asked, grabbing my homework from my bag, which was resting against the side of my bed.

"Well..." Ryder sighed, shuffling closer to the computer, putting his face directly in the line of the camera. "There's a new season of Supernatural starting tonight, and I'm not allowed to watch it, but I'm going to anyway." He whispered, bringing his knee up and fist bumping the air above him.
