When I woke up the next day, my face was really sore. I guess all that slapping yesterday had finally hit me.

I stood up and looked at myself in the mirror. The right side of my face was still red, but the other side was fine... but still stinging. I'd never been slapped before, so I wasn't too sure if it was normal or not... Sure, I've been shoved into lockers a lot and kicked a bit, but they left bruises. I'm not too sure whether I liked the drama of being slapped.

Nonetheless, I got dressed, putting my hair in a ponytail and stuffing everything I needed in my bag. I trotted down the hall and to the kitchen, giving Mom and kiss on the cheek. "Aren't you meant to-" Mom tried to ask me, but I shook my head.

"Nah, propostions." I laughed, running out the door, my bag feeling heavier than ever.

When I got to school, it was time for an early Glee club practice, but there was something I had to do first. I ran through the empty corridor, the only noise was my feet lightly hitting the tiled ground. I slowed my pace as I walked into Coach Sylvester's office.

She was sitting in her seat, writing in her notebook and grinning evilily. "Coach Sylvester?" I said, making her look up from her red notebook.

"Head Cheerio, why are you not wearing your Cheerio uniform?" She said, taking off her glasses.

"I-I quit the Cheerios," I said, opening my bag and pulling out the uniform, still in it's box.

"You can't quit the Cheerios! We need you to show the judges how this McKinley High produces beautiful, Sue-Sylvester-like girls!" She shouted.

"I just can't take it from Kitty, she was so angry at me for taking it yesterday. And I'm not meant to be popular. I'm meant to be... me."

"Well, Kitty doesn't have any power over you! You could have slapped her silly!" Sue shouted again.

"She slapped me silly," I laughed, placing the uniform on the table.

"Well, that promise about making your loser's lives hell was false - I didn't know what to do to get all of you suspended. The only thing I could think of was to poor slime on the whole school and blame it on the Glee club."

"I knew, hit me last night," I smiled. "Thanks, Coach Sylvester, for giving me a small taste of what it's like to be popular, but it's not my thing. I prefer to be unpopular and tossed to the side." I laughed at how weird that sounded, since everyone at school wanted to be popular.

"Crazy." There was a small silence from both of us, before Sue boomed, "Now get the hell out of my office!"

I nodded with a smile and ran out of her office, walking down the corridor, proud of myself for being nice and putting things back to how they should have been.

When I made it to the choir room, I realised Kitty wasn't there. I sat down in my seat, still curious, but ignoring the fact.

"No Cheerio's uniform?" Jake asked, leaning down.

"No, I couldn't do that anymore." I whispered, smiling at him and Angie - who were sitting together today.

"You looked really good in it, you know?" Jake laughed. Angie agreed quickly, smiling. I shook my head before I heard a, "She did," come from the back of the room in Travis' voice.

"I'm back, full power, bitches!" Kitty shouted, running into the room.

"What happened?" Sugar asked.

"I ran into Coach and she told me I was Head Cheerio again! Guess you weren't good enough, Big Mac." She laughed and walked to her seat. I simply rolled my eyes.
