"Sectionals!" Sugar screamed, running around the room. She was on some kind of high because Sectionals were on tonight, and just an hour out of town.
We'd spent ages working on the dance rountines and the right words, and we have finally got it nailed. Every move and word was perfect. We were perfect.
Angie and I stayed after school a couple of days to make the dresses; Kitty, Fat Amy and Sugar said they'd work on the Regionals dresses, which was probably false. The dresses we'd spent countless hours working on were a light purple colour on the top and black from the hips down. They were really simple, but they were easy to dance in and that was the most important part.
Fat Amy seemed too happy about Sectionals too, because she was running around the room, dodging the instruments, and only crashing into something once; that something was me, by the way. Angie seemed happy about her first Sectionals, too, but she wasn't overly excited like the others. She just sat there in Glee club, a smile on her face, swinging her legs. Jake was sitting next to her, telling her about how awesome it was, but her excited state remained the same.
I was really excited about tonight, but I wished Ryder was singing with me. Even if he wasn't singing, I just wished he could watch us. But I knew he couldn't, and that was okay, I guess.
'Okay, guys, calm down!" Mr. Schue laughed, shooing everyone to their seats. "Okay, tonight is the event we've been practicing for for weeks," Mr. Schue turned around and wrote Sectionals on the board. "Sectionals!" He shouted. We all cheered as Mr. Schue started talking about how he wants to fit in one more practice. We all agreed, wanting to do our best.

Mr. Schue was counting us as we got on the bus, not that there was much of us to count, but there was the band members who were just going to sway in the background and be our remaining members.
Angie and I were sitting towards the back of the bus, talking about dancing and music. "Are your parents coming?" I asked her as she fiddled with her Converse shoe.
"Nah, they're busy." She mumbled. "I asked them to come, though," Angie said, looking up at me. "But they're were all like Oh, Angie, we have our high income jobs and we can't come, because we have to work late to earn you money so we can just give you it and ignore you for the rest of our lives! It's stupid!" Angie shouted, scoffing to herself and quickly forgetting her torn shoe.
"Ange, don't worry." I smiled, putting my arm around her shoulder. "In a matter of hours, you will be on stage, singing in front of a lot of people, and dancing with Jake. You won't even care about your parents not being able to come."
I got a small laugh out of Angie with that comment, "I shouldn't have told you."
"You shouldn't have told me," I agreed, shaking my head, "but it was an awesome secret."
"What secret?" Jake asked, coming up to us. He tripped over himself as the bus stopped, but he made it into the seat in front of us.
"Girl stuff." I smiled, taking my arm away from Angie.
"Oh, none of you are pregnant, right?" He asked wide-eyed.
"I hope not," Angie whispered before shaking her head.
"No, who'd it be with anyway?" I laughed, looking over at Angie who chuckled lightly.
"Um, right," Jake laughed too and turned back around, before looking back at us. "What secret was it, then?"
"It's a secret." I smiled.
"Girls," Jake sighed.
"You can't blame us for keeping secrets. We are going to have to put up with a lot more shit than you men ever will." Angie said, crossing her arms and laughing at Jake.
