At the next Glee club meeting, Jake came rushing into the room with Joe and Travis in tow. He whipped off his leather jacket, chucked it over the piano, and turned to face the front. "We have a song we'd like to show everyone."

"Alright, guys," Mr. Schue said, stepping out of the way, "the floor is yours."

As the music begun and the boys started to sing, Travis winked right in my direction. I tried to share a concerned and awkward glance with Angie, but she was too busy fawning over Jake.

Jake, Joe, and Travis:
My love is on the line
My love is on the line
My love is on the line
My love is on the line

Jake:
A little late for all the things you didn't say

I'm not sad for you
But I'm sad for all the time I had to waste
'Cause I learned the truth

Joe:
Your heart is in a place I no longer wanna be

I knew there'd come a day
I'd set you free
'Cause I'm sick and tired
Of always being sick and tired

Jake, Joe, and Travis:
Your love isn't fair
You live in a world where you didn't listen
And you didn't care
So I'm floating
Floating on air

There was something so hypnotic about the way they moved. As they danced around the room and sung to us, it was clear that the whole room was vibing with them.

Joe:
No warning of such a sad song
Of broken hearts
My dreams of fairy tales and fantasy, oh
Were torn apart

Jake with Travis:
I lost my peace of mind

Somewhere along the way
I knew there's come a time
You'd hear me say

Jake and Travis:
I'm sick and tired

Of always being sick and tired

Jake, Joe, and Travis:
Your love isn't fair
You live in a world where you didn't listen
And you didn't care
So I'm floating
Floating on air

Your love isn't fair
You live in a world where you didn't listen
And you didn't care
So I'm floating
Floating on air

Jake, Joe, and Travis:
My love is on the line

My love is on the line
My love is on the line
My love is on the line
My love is on the line

Jake, Joe, and Travis:
Your love isn't fair
You live in a world where you didn't listen
And you didn't care
So I'm floating
Floating on air

As per usual, the room erupted in applause. Us girls cheered so loud. Clearly, they were doing something right.

"The fact that I got turned on by that," Kitty said, her lips in an impressed pout.

I turned around to raise and eyebrow at her, confused, before Sugar spoke up. "Yah, me too."

The boys laughed together. As they came back to sit down, I gave Jake a high five. He flashed me that bright, handsome grin. I remembered what I saw in him all those months ago.

The McKinley High annual pep rally had arrived. The whole day had been filled with spirit. And then, we were there, ready to perform. The girls and I were dressed in the tightest, most uncomfortable, latex jumpsuits, whilst the boys got away with wearing black jeans and leather jackets.
