Chapter 66 - Enchanted

I had been sitting at this bench for at least an hour, watching people do a variety of dancing. Sometimes it could be interesting, just listening to music, but then it could be super boring just sitting there.

I hadn't sung yet, but I was going to soon. Kitty, Joe and Unique were singing a mash up of two One Direction songs and everyone was dancing around the room with their dates... and there were quite a lot of people standing in corners or sitting down making out, which made me feel ever sadder and jealous. 

"Marls, you are up to show the school your amazing, Taylor Swift-like voice!" Unique called, standing in front of me.

"Thanks," I smiled, standing up and walking to the stage. "By the way, you look stunning!" I shouted over the music.

"You too!" She screamed before weaving her way through the crowd to the middle. 

I smiled and stood in the centre of the stage, holding the microphone in my right hand and swaying slightly to the music.

Marley:
There I was again tonight
Forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired lonely place

I spotted Travis towards to back of the room with an incredibly large smirk on his face. He had his arms crossed and to be honest, I felt weird looking at him, so I stared at Jake and Angie dancing slowly together in the middle of the crowd.

I could just see Ryder and I in their place swaying to the music as he sung along.

Walls of insincerity,
Shifting eyes and vacancy
Vanished when I saw your face

All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you

Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"

The playful conversation starts

Ryder. Every love song I sing is dedicated to Ryder. And this one explained how I felt when he first came to my locker and introduced himself. I was definetely enchanted to meet him when he came up first said hi to me.

I smiled as I remembered the events of that day. That was day I was never going to regret.
