As they walk towards the building Clem let's out a sigh trying to compose herself as she looks around again. "What is this place?" She finally got the confidence to ask. (Y/N) hums as she holds the handle of one of her swords, looking around as well. Her eyes narrowed in thought.
"You can probably tell it used to be a school. But it can be whatever they wanted it to be. It holds up pretty well, good walls. There used to be others...but you know how it goes." She explained as they walked up the stairs and into the building, listening to some piano music echoing the halls.
"Follow the music. Check" Clem playfully said as (Y/n) chuckles, continuing to walk. "C'mon. We're almost there."
"So about this place, are you in charge?" Clem asked once more. (Y/N) glances at her in slight shock before looking away. "I'm flattered you think that. But no I'm not. Marlon is, I'm more of a co-leader."
"I know what you're thinking; kids being run by kids but he has a working system in place. Everyone knows what to do. I normally keep the peace. Make sure no one kills each other. But that's a task I feel sometimes I'm not fit to do." She rants looking down, a little upset.
Clem takes notice of the weapons and goes to ask about it, wanting to get her to relax just a bit. "How did you find that?" She asked, pointing at the swords (Y/n) was carrying on her hip. The said girl looks down and smiles softly.
"I made it, I found a bunch of metal from that shed Marlon mentioned earlier. Pretty sweet, right?" She praised her own craftsmanship, smiling at Clem who nodded and smiled back, turning a corner. "Hell yeah! I think that's pretty cool."
(Y/n) grins at Clem as they walk down the hallway after turning the corner, they hear a voice yell out in pain and a plum girl with ginger red hair stumbles out of a room. "Little motherfucker!—Hey! Hey! It's about time you woke up. Your little boy just bit me. Lucky I didn't put a boot on his head!" Clementine goes protective mode and glares at the red head. (Y/n) peaks around Clem's shoulder and steps to stand next to her.
"Ruby what happened?" She asked, worriedly. The redhead who is now Ruby. Her eyes widened at her voice and practically cowed in fear before standing tall and shouting once again. Clementine took note of the behavior others have around (Y/n) and tilted her head before hearing Ruby speak again. "I-I was just being friendly and he sinks his teeth into my hand!"
"God. I'm sorry he acts out sometimes—" Clem goes to explain when she backs up seeing Ruby get closer and on impulse pull the smaller girl behind her. (Y/n) paid no mind as she placed her hand on Clem's arm, making the girl relax.
"He needs to learn some respect!" Ruby yelled getting in Clem's face.
"Ruby you probably startled him, he's just a little boy." (Y/n) defended, not wanting anyone to meet on the wrong foot this early. Clementine glanced behind her to (Y/n) and smiled thankfully.
"He's just been through a lot." Clem finished. Ruby in her fit of anger growled under her breath as she held her hand in pain. "Yeah. Well aren't we all? Don't see either of us sinking our teeth into any of you!" Clementine goes to defend but (Y/n) moves in front of her standing tall and glaring right at Ruby. The redhead backed up in fear and started looking anywhere but the girl.
"Enough." With that word, voice low and firm Rudy was quick about leaving the scene, and away from (Y/n). The girl let out a sigh and turned to Clementine. "Sorry about that, I guess everyone's on edge. C'mon he's over here."
Clementine just stared at the girl walking into a room. That whole scene was intense but how the others act while (Y/n)'s around makes her think she really is the leader of this place. Like come on, no one will be scared or submit that quickly to just a tone. She lets a smile grow on her face thinking back to how she defeated her and AJ even though she probably doesn't know him that well.
