"So, what level of difficulty are we going for today?" Ling Yun asked.
"From one to ten, twenty, Brigadier general." Bai Luo Yin shouted.
"Let's do it then."
After four hours of painstaking drills, Ling Yun took a break to pass a towel over his sweat and gulped some water, he looked at Bai Luo Yin's body going up and down, doing a push up for the hundredth time without any intention to stop, he shook his head, unbelievable. if he will keep it up, he will hurt his body in a serious way.
Thirty repetitions, five sets, with only 30 seconds to a minute break between exercises, four hours and counting, even during military training he gives the soldiers 30 seconds more to breathe, to rest, to regain their energy, this is starting to get very unhealthy.
"Lieutenant Colonel Bai, you should take a break for a while."
"I came here to train, not to rest, we just started, let's continue, what? Did you get tired already Brigadier general? Please, don't make me laugh, there is no way!"
Ling Yun sighed and glanced to the side, there is nothing a loved more than watching a soldier training his ass off, but this? this was just too much, his years of experience in the military, dealing with all types of soldiers itched him from inside, as if telling him, something is wrong with this tough soldier, something is bugging him, this is the only reason he has some strength left in him.
Should he ask him about it? no, not really, it was never his style to intervene in his soldier's personal life, that's more of Gu Yang's specialty.
"Lieutenant Colonel Bai, training is over, let's go." he dragged Bai Luo Yin by force to his apartment, using all his strength, not giving him a chance to resist.
Dragging the sweaty Bai Luo Yin back to his apartment achieved nothing, he didn't dignify the food offered to him with one glimpse and kept insisting on continuing to train.
Gu Yang lost his patience toward the poor soldier right about the time Bai Luo Yin walked through the door dripping sweat.
Finally Ling Yun received a day of leave from the base, they were supposed to go visit the new museum that opened down town, but thanks to Bai Luo Yin's call, that plan went down the drain.
If Ling Yun was to spend an hour or two training Bai Luo Yin then fine, he could let that go, but four, five hours? that was just rude! he has a life, and a partner!!
He handed Bai Luo Yin a six-pack bottles of beer and fired at him.
"Bai Luo Yin stop pretending to be a freakin hero, no one is buying your bullshit, Ling Yun is not your private trainer and will not keep training you, so stop insisting, you are wasting both of our times."
"Don't feel all mighty and strong just because you are able to train like a brainless lunatic, you are just another brokenhearted boy and everybody can clearly see it."
"I don't know what reason you and Gu Hai found to fight about this time, and I don't freaking care, just go home and fix it, leave my boyfriend alone!"
Bai Luo Yin gazed at him through glassy eyes, since Gu Yang got with Ling Yun his attitude toward Bai Luo Yin turned nice and sympathetic, not this time though, maybe he should get offended by it, but he wasn't, he just listened, really listened and kept on gulping beer, letting the dizziness over take him.
"Aren't you being too harsh on him? he is clearly going through something." Ling Yun tapped on Gu Yang's shoulder.
"I know what I am doing, don't worry just go do your thing, he is not going to train anymore today, he is going back home."
"Good session Lieutenant Colonel Bai." Ling Yun said, his tone soft and sympathetic, one last glimpse at the sweaty soldier and he left, heading toward the shower.
Five minutes of silence with Bai Luo Yin's glassy gaze stuck on him, his expression giving no clues to what's going through his mind, should he be honest or not? the wheels of his brain kept on rolling, another five minutes and his lips released their grip of the bottle of beer and began mumbling.
"I can't fix it, I think he is not attracted to me anymore."
"Pppffff hahaha" Gu Yang snorted and laughed.
Come on, he always thought of Bai Luo Yin as a very naïve boy, actually it was one of the things he liked about him, it's part of what made him so pure, but stupid? that stupid? the alcohol is definitely getting to his head, yea, that might be it.
Whether it was the effect of the beers or not, Bai Luo Yin was dead wrong and it was a matter of time until he will find that out.
