June 23th- Thursday.
Two weeks later.
Supported by his elbows, Yang Meng laid on his stomach on the living-room carpet in HaiYin's apartment. His long legs swinging back and forth in the air like a jolly child as he flipped through wedding magazines. "Yin Za, look at this one, if we will book this guy, he will release colorful butterflies in our altar. It would be so fabulous! What do you think? Should we book him too?"
Bai Luo Yin didn't know whether to laugh or to start getting annoyed, spending the last two weeks next to the bridezilla called Meng, squeezed his patience down toward the minus line. "Absolutely not! It would be way too much, you already booked the white doves, and helium balloons. Besides, your nieces will scatter flowers on the red carpet all the way to the altar. Anything more, would be way too much. Instead, let's go over the guests' list, a few called this morning to add a plus-one, so, we need to rearrange the tables, unless you want to find yourself with guests with no place to sit."
Yang meng shot out a puff. "Seriously! What do people think huh? How can someone think that it is a good idea to call a week before someone's wedding to add more people to the table? This is so inappropriate! I should uninvite those people, I am telling you."
"Hon, honey," Liu hurried to the bridezilla, and cupped his puffing face between both his palms. "Look at me...now, breathe...breathe, I will take care of the guests' list, and will rearrange the tables. Tell me what stresses you out, and, I will take care of it for you. Okay?"
"Ammm... so, can you talk to the DJ too? he wanted to try some new vibe of music, but I don't want him too, he should just stick to the list of songs I gave him. Why can't he take my instructions? We are the ones paying him! Can you talk to him please?"
"Sure hon, anything else?"
"No, Yin Za will help me with the rest, thank you."
Liu smiled at him before he embedded an enamored kiss on his lips, and left to make some phone calls in the guest room.
He left, yet Yang Meng's eyes tarried staring at the direction of Liu's footsteps. "Isn't he the best?" he asked.
Bai Luo Yin landed one of the wedding magazines on Yang Meng's head with a soft thud as he giggled along. "You are so in love."
Not responding to the bridezilla with a 'Yes sir.' Appeared to be not such of a great idea. A grouchy glower crept up Yang Meng's pretty face as he buried his head in the magazine, and muttered under his nose. "Whether you admit it or not, my bambino is the best. I am so lucky."
"Okay, moving on to the tuxedos" Bai Luo Yin's voice interrupted his ranting mind.
"Tuxedos are set, we are picking them up tomorrow."
"Okay, food then? Why did you not check the food square as completed? Is there a problem with it?"
"The venue is still waiting for our final decision on the main course, I haven't decided between the fish and the chicken yet."
"If it's such a difficult decision for you, then, just order both."
Yang Meng puckered his mouth to the side. "Mmm...it's a little expensive, but fine, let's order both. You only get married once, right?"
Bai Luo Yin unfurled a stoic meaningful smile. "Depends on who you ask."
"Well, I am planning to get married only once."
"Fish and chicken, it is then."
The three guys worked feverishly on the wedding's last-week details until the small hours of the night. When their heads began banging from one side of their sculps to the other, they took a break to have a snack, maybe that would help renew their energy.
