Distracted by the intense stare gripping at him, Gu Hai shifted his gaze from the chattering Meng Tong Tian to Bai Luo Yin. Their eyes momentarily met. Bai Luo Yin instantly steered his stare to another direction, avoiding the direct eye-contact. Gu Hai's gaze narrowed into puzzlement, as if asking himself; what just happened?

At that moment, he caught the unpleasant sight of his older brother smirking at Bai Luo Yin, and then leaving swaggering toward the bathroom.

"Can you give me a minute?" he asked Meng Tong Tian.

"Sure ge."

He followed Gu Yang to the bathroom, and barged in with a bestial glare on. "What the hell did you say to Yin Zi?"

Utterly indifferent to his younger brother's sudden fit of temper; Gu Yang unzipped his own pants, and took his conceited member out to urinate. "Wow! you two are really something. You always look for me in order to hang the blame of your problems on my back. Have you ever thought to take a moment, to stop and reflect? Maybe the reason that I can come between you two so easily is because you are not such a great match after all. Maybe, you should try your luck with other people. What do you say little brother, mmm?"

Gu Hai's teeth gnashed against each other. "I asked, what the hell did you say to Yin Zi?"

Gu Yang shook the last drops of urine out of his member, and covered him with the thick fabric of his pants. "I didn't say much, I just asked him if he has any plans to move to the U.S. or not. He didn't answer me. Instead, he just stared at you, as if you will come running to save him from that conversation. So, obviously, I teased him. I told him he is whipped since he can't let out a word without asking your permission first. That's all."

"You fucking idiot!" Gu Hai bellowed. "Why would you ask him this kind of question out of nowhere? Why would you even discuss this topic anyways? What's it to you?"

Gu Yang rubbed his palms with soap and water as he looked at Gu Hai through the bathroom's mirror. "Well, if you were there, you would have heard me and Yunyun telling the guys that we are moving to San- Antonio next week. Yunyun is going to run the new base there. The style of the base will be different than how things operate here. It offers a lot of good opportunities to someone in Bai Lo's rank. But he didn't apply to be transferred there, so, I asked him if it's because he was too scared to leave the country. Which is weird if you ask me. Even princess Meng is planning to move there with Liu, she is very excited about it too."

"Ahhhh."

"Yup, ahhh." Gu Yang tapped Gu Hai's shoulder, and swaggered back to the smoky balcony.

Gu Hai left staring at the bathroom's mirror speechless. What a weird coincidence.

On the drive back to their apartment, Gu Hai tried to catch Bai Luo Yin's eyes during the free time the red lights provided him with. But the other evaded his gaze at all cost, like a mouse from a cat.

"Yin Zi," he softly said. "Gu Yang already told me what you guys talked about. Don't stress yourself about it. I told you to take all the time you need; I told you I don't mind to wait years for your answer, and I meant it. Babe, we are good. Don't panic just because I was "blessed" with an idiot for a brother."

"I don't care about what he said." Bai Luo Yin finally cracked his mouth open. "But I want to talk to you, I...I have an answer..."

"Whatever it is," Gu Hai eased Bai Luo Yin's stress with a gallant pat on his thigh. "We are good. Do you hear me? You and I are good baby." His uplifting gaze encouraged Bai Luo Yin to part his lips, and voice out the words that burdened his heart.
