"What do you mean weird ass people? Can't you talk like a civilized person? Those are our friends that you are talking about."

"They are your friends Yin Zi, which one of them is mine?"

Bai Luo Yin instantly frowned.

"All of them??"

Gu Hai slipped a willful smile on, it was easy to tell, nothing good is going to come out of his mouth, looking at his expression Bai Luo Yin wished to swallow back his question.

"Oh, you mean the annoying solider that somehow used to always end up in your bed?"
"Or the little actor that wrote you a love letter?"
"Or, better yet that sister of yours with the pretty pink dress that for some reason never seems to be able to get her tiny hands off you??"
"Which one of them is my friend? Remind me again please, I forgot...."

Bai Luo Yin couldn't help but to start laughing, Gu Hai's description of those three was extremely snippy yet accurate.

He really did have a way with words.

Once he managed to stop cracking up at his friend's expense, he did a one eighty and became gloomy and disappointed.

"Does that mean we are not going?"

"I didn't say that," Gu Hai said, "Whether we go or not is your decision, wherever you go I go, my point was, those people are not MY friends Yin Zi, they are YOURS, I let them hang around here solely for that reason."

The long explanation went in one of Bai Luo Yin's ears and came out the other, he didn't care much for the reasoning as long as he got what he wanted.

"We are going then," he grinned clapping his hands together.

Gu Hai raised his palms to his chest in a defeated gesture and shook his head lightly as if consoling himself, I tried.

"Fine by me."

That evening the weird ass group of people did a video call to plan the how and where they are going to celebrate the new year.

The talkative Yang Meng as always was the first one to talk.

"So, guys where are we going to meet up?"

"I thought you can all come to my house since I have the biggest one anyways." Yu Qi suggested.

"No, I can't." Liu immediately declined, "Your house is three hours drive from the base, it's too far, I have an injured friend that needs me there, I have to be able to go back quickly at any given time in case he will call."

A line appeared between Bai Luo Yin's eyebrows as he rubbed his forehead.

"No one is injured in our unit..."

"He is from another unit Lieutenant Colonel, from Colonel Kang's unit."

"Ah."

The four became quiet, looking at each other perplexed trying to figure out a solution to the new arising problem.

Suddenly Bai Luo Yin's eyes lit up.

"Then how about our vacation house? It's a huge house and is located only an hour drive from the base."

Bai Luo Yin's statement took the nosey Yang Meng by surprise, he was used to know every little detail about his best friend's life, mostly because he always kept asking questions. he moved his chair closer to the computer.

"Wait, you guys have a vacation house? How come I didn't know that?"

"Yea, yea we do, it's on the beach and it has a gym, a pool, seven bedrooms and it is quite secluded, I think you guys will like it." Bai Luo Yin detailed with a bright expression.
