Bai Luo Yin's body wobbled on the floor, helplessly yelping to seize control, but all muscles and nerves coldly ignored it. Beads of sweat dripped from his forehead down to his collarbones. His handsome face convulsed, and his hands clutched onto his chest as he struggled to keep a steady breath. "I ccccan't bbreathe, Da...Hai...I ccccan't bbreathe." He stuttered with much difficulty.

Growing up in the military base with a strict father, by his volition or not, Gu Hai had to attend a few first aid courses. After Bai Luo Yin enlisted, tragically for the devoted husband, the first aid course came into practice more often than he would have liked. So much so, that without Bai Luo Yin's knowledge he began attending more classes of this sort, just in case.

Therefore, when Bai Luo Yin collapsed to the floor trembling, his brain started working, scanning long lists of symptoms in his head. His pupils dilated with horror when a bomb detonated in his head with an ear-splitting boom.

Panic attack consists of thirteen symptoms, if one experiences four of them, then, he is having a panic attack. If one experiences five plus of them, then, he is suffering a severe one. And Bai Luo Yin convulsed on the floor demonstrating six of them.

Freezing his own emotions aside, he darted to help Bai Luo Yin. He hauled his body toward the bed, and made him sit there, so his back would comfortably lean backwards against the cushy mattress. He adjusted a pillow behind Bai Luo Yin's head, and sat on his ankles across from him, within a distance of a touch.

He then wrung a wet towel, and wiped Bai Luo Yin's upper body with it. his voice soft like a cloud on a spring day. "Bai Luo Yin, babe, look at me, look at me, and try to imitate me."

He slowly inhaled through his nose, and exhaled through his mouth, with endless patience and care. He kept on a close eye-contact with Bai Luo Yin as he repeated the breathing exercises.

At first, Bai Luo Yin didn't manage to keep up with him, his lovable face convulsed as discomfort stifled his chest, and that lump in his throat pitilessly refused to dissolve.

However, the constant warm touch of Gu Hai, wiping his sweat, caressing his face, holding his hands, along with the comforting reassuring words that invariably sailed in the air, eased the thumping palpitations of his chest, and even his muscles began listening to the yelps of his core.

Slowly but steadily, he imitated Gu Hai's rhythm of breath. Only when Gu Hai was absolutely sure that Bai Luo Yin won't die on him if he will leave the room, he went out, and got him a glass of water.

"Can you breathe?" he asked, and Bai Luo Yin slowly nodded.

"Good, then drink baby, drink."

He waited for Bai Luo Yin to empty the glass, before his concern gaze quizzed him. "Can you talk?"

Bai Luo Yin nodded again.

Eyeing Bai Luo Yin intently, Gu Hai's voice carried a globe full of sorrow. "You never suffered from panic attacks before, you went through military training, you went into battle, yet you never suffered from it like your comrades. Did something happen when I was away? Tell me, when did it start mmm?"
