"What can I possibly say?"
"Don't you have an opinion on the subject?"
"I don't find the subject of children all that interesting, and in regards to Liu I don't understand what would make him want to spend the rest of his life with a loud beauty queen who won a competition of ten-year-old girls."
"Ufff you are too cruel." Bai Luo Yin glowered frustrated and turned to exit the kitchen.
"You wanted to hear my opinion on the subject." Gu Hai defended himself.
He stayed silent for a few moments and then called:" Yin Zi."
"Mmmm?"
"How is your Marigold? Still hurt?"
Bai Luo Yin blushed, a heat wave passed through his red-zinnia cheeks. "Don't call it that," he pouted.
"Why not? Have you ever seen the Marigold flower? It is so beautiful and seductive exactly like your—"
"It's fine, I am fine, it doesn't hurt anymore." Bai Luo Yin interrupted him, still blushing and pouting.
Gu Hai's mouth twisted, doesn't matter how many years will go by, seeing Bai Luo Yin squirm every single time he teased him will always be a joy to him, still slightly worried about the puffy Marigold, he glimpsed at him.
"I will give you a massage before going to bed, it will make you feel even better."
"Mmmm," Bai Luo Yin nodded, "I am going to take a shower."
"Okay."
But Bai Luo Yin didn't move a muscle, instead he took a seat on the kitchen counter, his big chestnut eyes followed after Gu Hai's movements.
Gu Hai moved around expeditiously drying the diches, putting them back in the drawers and cupboards, cleaning the stove, polishing the kitchen, making it shine clean.
"Didn't you say you are going to take a shower?" He asked, wondering why Bai Luo Yin is sitting still. "Go head, you should go to sleep, you have early training drills tomorrow morning."
Bai Luo Yin gazed at him quietly, not responding, he squinted his big eyes and plastered a shy smile on his face, trying to act as cute as a panda playing on the ground while wearing a tiny hat.
"Da Hai."
"What baby?"
"Thank you for cooking dinner, it was so delicious, it warmed my heart and filled my belly, hehehe"
Bai Luo Yin giggled enjoying his own unfunny joke.
Gu Hai smiled, he hanged onto Bai Luo Yin, put his large palm on his nape, caressing it for a short while and pulled him in, locking their fiery lips together.
His rough fingers stroked the crow-black hair on Bai Luo Yin's nape. "I knew this marriage will bring me nothing but joy." he whispered in his ear.

A few weeks have flown by and the month of January was already around the corner.
Bai Luo Yin reached his hand into his pocket and took out a key, he unlocked the apartment door and plodded in.
After yet another day of pitiless training in the Beijing's military base, all he wished for was to lay down on the sofa and close his eyes for a few minutes.
Upon taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, his cell-phone rang loudly, his hand crawled to the space near the right side of his head, reaching for his phone, picking it up listlessly.
"Hello?"
"Yin Za! it's Yu Qi, how are you?"
Bai Luo Yin's eyes widened, wow, Yu Qi, as if he is talking to a super important person, he changed his position and sat up straight on the sofa.
"Oh My God Yu Qi we haven't talked in such a long time, I missed you, I am good, how about you?"
"I am doing alright, just a bit busy that's all." Yu Qi said, folding the tiny light pink clothes of his twelve weeks old baby girl. he and his wife had a chores chart, today was his day to take care of the laundry.
"Yang Meng showed me a picture of your new baby girl a few weeks back, she is very cute."
"Thank you, she is indeed our little jellybean, Yin Za, I wanted to talk to you about New Years."
Bai Luo Yin took his military boots off, he cleaned the dirt his boots left on the sofa and laid back.
Thank goodness Gu Hai isn't home, if he would have seen him with his dirty shoes on the sofa just minutes ago, he would have definitely made him face the wall and slapped his perky butt a few times.
"What about it?" he asked.
"Do you have any plans? How about we celebrate it together? Your family, mine and Yang Meng's?"
Yu Qi tried to play it cool, but in reality, he bit his lips, anxious, he already planned the whole thing with Yang Meng.
Both really wanted Bai Luo Yin there with them, but hesitated duo to Gu Hai, they were well aware Bai Luo Yin's man is not a big fan of them.
"Actually, we were supposed to celebrate it with my dad and aunt Zou." Bai Luo Yin disclosed. "But they cancelled on us yesterday, Gu Hai's father invited them for a double date ski trip for three days, so for now we don't really have any plans."
Yu Qi loaded another pile of dirty clothes in the washing machine and turned it on, his round eyes brightened.
"Great, let's do it then."
"Count me in, I will let Gu Hai know as well, call me when you have more details."
Today Gu Hai had to work late which means Bai Luo Yin arrived at the house first and had about an hour to cook dinner for the two of them.
Even though Gu Hai told him specifically to leave that to him, knowing how tired he will be once he gets home Bai Luo Yin took on himself this task for the day.
During dinner the two slurped on the chicken soup, he told Gu Hai about the phone call he had with Yu Qi, and the new plans they now have for new years. his eyes and nose crinkled, waiting for Gu Hai to join him in his excitement.
Gu Hai knitted his sullen brows together.
"You are telling me that I need to spend the New Years with those weird ass people? Why?"
