July 2th- Friday.
LiuMeng's wedding day.
Blooming colorful bouquets of dahlias ornamented the center of each table, wine-red and black balloons covered the high celling of the banquet hall with equal distance between them, huge bows with long ribbons mixed with the same colors decorated the back of each chair. Don't even mention the red roses with lengthy stems on the DJ's stand, they had to pay him double so he will stop grumbling about how bizarre, and insane he found the idea of pasting flowers to another man's equipment to be.
Looking at the banquet hall up and ready, Bai Luo Yin let out a sigh of relief, he couldn't resist the instinct to curve his lips up. Yes, okay, they went a little overboard, but it was still better than Yang Meng's original decoration plan.
With the small petting zoo, dancing puppets, and magician, the bridezilla originally wanted. The banquet hall would have lost its classiness, and would have resembled a circus instead. At least he managed to persuade Yang meng into dispensing of these nutty ideas. When the bridezilla fell asleep, Liu even thanked him deeply for it.
"Watch it, watch it." someone yelled behind him, and he immediately skipped to the side.
Oh, thank God. A line of Yang Meng's nieces and cousins almost bumped straight into him. The line of kids ran around giggling with baskets of flowers and, sparkly confetti, waiting patiently for their honorable job of scattering twinkles on the red-carpet aisle.
From afar, standing near the entrance bar, he spotted Gu Hai chatting with Meng Tong Tian. Tong Tian looked at Gu Hai with zest in his eyes, listening to every word he voiced out. Suddenly, the two busted out a continues laughter, and Gu Hai patted Tong Tian's shoulder.
Bai Luo Yin's nose twitched; he really should find a girlfriend for his brother. That zesty man-child is in a serious need of a wife! He graduated from university, worked as a respectable real estate agent, but still had no shame to keep on calling Gu Hai, gege, like a freaking four-year-old. Someone should really separate between these two. With that thought in mind, he took large purposeful strides in their direction.
"Lieutenant colonel, lieutenant colonel."
Bai Luo Yin's keen eyes shifted from the entrance bar to where the shout came from. There, by the over-the-top display of LiuMeng's sticky pictures, near the banquet hall entrance, a throng of infantry men in uniform waved at him.
Initially Liu wished to invite the whole seven hundred soldiers in the battalion. "They are my family." He said, and didn't at all exaggerated. After his love story with Lee Han Su was revealed, his family kicked him out to the street with only fifty dollars in his pocket. As a revenge, he cut all ties with them. To this day, he had no idea if his parents or siblings were still alive or dead.
Once he enlisted, the army fitted him like a glove, he loved training, and painstakingly trained himself even when no one asked him to. His persistence and diligence procured him higher ranks, and respect from his superiors. While his compassionate valiant nature garnered him sincere love from every soldier who ever met him. Hence, he didn't exaggerate one bit, to him, the battalion was and is his true family.
However, doesn't matter how many times the battalion's members requested to attend the wedding, the higher-ups responded with a decisive no. Even brigadier general Yun, lieutenant colonel Bai, or Gu Hai, couldn't help them with it, the order came from above, from general Gu. Only Liu's company, a hundred and seventy-five soldiers that is, were granted with a special approval to attend the wedding.
The throng of soldiers surrounded Bai Luo Yin, some of them with horny waggish grins on their faces. "Lieutenant colonel, are there any bridesmaids in this wedding?"
